Reset your nervous system with this exercise. Stand with your feet hip width apart and take a slow breath in through your nose, followed by a long, breath out. Firmly press your feet into the floor for 10 seconds, then completely relax. Repeat this three times. Next, cross your arms over your chest and gently alternate tapping your shoulders from left to right while breathing slowly for 60–90 seconds. Finish by shifting your weight from one foot to the other, allowing your body to naturally relax. Then pause and notice the difference. Is your breathing calmer? Do you feel more grounded? Sometimes the body doesn't need more stretching or more effort, it simply needs the right sensory input to help the nervous system recognise that it's safe, allowing tension to release and regulation to return
