corvus was always a sick as a boy, so unfortunately morrigan also inherited that. she’s got a permanent runny nose and raspy voice because of it (yet another reason for parents to not want their children hanging around a ‘cursed child’)

called mrs swift "mom" once. never again (mrs swift cried)

HORRIBLE liar. she can't lie to save her life. cadence and mahir (the two best liars in 919) have tried to teach her to little result

her favourite class was decoding nevermoor, but now it's understanding nevermoor, which is about the history of it; it's one of the few classes that the unit shares, and they all think it's boring except for her because they've all learnt the history before

HAWTHORNE JEBOOM SWIFT

sometimes he forgets to eat in the mornings because he wakes up early to go dragonriding. so he makes up for it by eating his bodyweight and more during lunch

middle name was given to him because it was his dad's favourite childhood character from the book series jeboom tune and the mad musicals, but hawthorne thinks it's embarrassing

rarely gets angry or embarrassed but when he does he does the tips of his ears turn bright red

has a set of dragon scale gloves from the first dragon he ever flew (weaves through forest branches like an elusive salamander), since she was old and kind of shedding en-masse. however, weaves was the first ride that got him noticed by nancy dawson, which is why he keeps the gloves, even after he outgrew them.

his favourite class is recognizing draconic heratige, where he learns how to identify different dragons and their abilities. hawthorne says it's his favourite because he sees cool dragons, but the rest of the unit know it's because baby hawthorne used to think he was part dragon and teenage hawthorne still carries a tiny speck of that hope in him

CADENCE LENORE BEATRICE BLACKBURN

each new person that remembers her goes through a coraline/caroline esque phase whete she gets called “candice” a lot

scared of needles

was raised by a single mother and her grandmother, both of whom only accepted baz charlton's bid because they needed the money. the three of them aare incredibly close and enjoy playing board games and reading together

grew up incredibly lonely since nobody could remember her, so her mom ended up homeschooling her

her favourite class is identifying arsenic, because she's good at it and gets to eat sweet treats that (so far) have not been laced with arsenic

THADDEA MILLICENT NO-RETREAT OF CLAN MACLEOD

has an extensive tea collection (she brings the more common ones to hometrain to share, but keeps the rare ones in a safe in her room), alongside a lot of porcelain tea-ware she's inherited. francis is jealous

has a crippling sweet tooth

is one of many cousins, most of them older and enjoyers of telling scary stories which is why she was scared of morrigan when she first discovered mog was a wundersmith

surprisingly bendy

her favourite class is simple strength, where they learn the more science-geared aspects of motion in fighting. so far, thaddea has successfully mildly stunned a lizard, which is really good considering she's bad at regulating force

ANAH KIEREN KAHLO

has very sad-looking eyes and trembly hands, though they steady whenever she locks in for medical care

allergic to cats

can meditate for hours on end and slips into a similar zone when she performs surgery (she calls it the free state because she thinks it's funny)

loves puns and bad jokes. mahir bought her a joke book for christmas one year and the entirety of unit 919 groaned all throughout the new year

her favourite class is how to stop a human heart (temporarily), because as she becomes a senior scholar they teach more about how to stop the hearts of different species

LAMYA BETHARI AMATI RA "LAMBETH AMARA"

went through a whole rebellious phase during her years as a senior student at wunsoc. since she doesn't have family like most of the other 919 members, her patron doesn't mind what she does and so the first other piercing she got aside from a nose ring were snakebites

avid raspberry fan

loves being around unit 919 dearly, as she used to be part of a giant royal family that would always be around her but became incredibly lonely when she first moved to nevermoor since it was just her and her patron

scared of the dark and sleeps with a duck-shaped nightlight

her favourite class is prophetic history and futures past, where she learns about different prophecies from all over the seven pockets and how they've changed or not changed the future

MAHIR IBRAHIM

the first thing he learns in any language are the swear words

loves any form of potato, but especially mashed

unofficial "leader" of the group, mostly because he's the oldest. the others listen to him about 90% of the time

tends to be pretty quiet around new people, but enjoys pranking just as much as hawthorne and cadence

his favourite class is interspectoral communication, because he's starting to learn how to speak in other peoples' heads without talking out loud (nicknamed "soulspeak")

FRANCIS FINNEGAN FITZWILLIAM

incredibly picky with all of his kitchenware and utensils. everything in his workspace at wunsoc has a specific place, and will have a mini-meltdown if someone comes in and disrupts his organization

parents are constantly travelling for work, similar to jupiter, which is why he lives with his aunt heather. whenever they return, they bring him back new ingredients from other pockets of the free state

stress-bakes, but nobody's allowed to eat his stress baking because whoever does will become stressed themselves

knows how to perfectly cook a marshmallow on all sides, which means he's the designated s'mores maker for unit 919

his favourite class is poisons 202 (he advanced from poisons 101)

ARCHAN SNOWROTH TATE

lowkey got mixed up with francis a lot when the unit was first formed. why, nobody knows

incredibly claustrophobic

used to be slightly jealous of francis' cooking skills, but after the two of them became best friends (yes i'm making them best friends) fran started teaching him how to make small basic things and now he's much better about it

dislikes his full name and prefers the entire unit to call him arch or archie
