We're continuing our countdown of the Top 40 songs that appeared on the first chart of the AeschTunes Top 40 (July 3, 2001). Today is song #38: "Everytime You Need Me" by Fragma featuring Maria Rubia.
Unfortunately, the chart's first week was the only week that the song appeared on the chart. It fell off on the following week's chart dated July 10, 2001.
"Everytime You Need Me" was a song that we'd been hearing on Seattle's KNHC 89.5 FM for a while before we included it on the chart. We really liked the song, but it had been out a while before we started the AeschTunes Top 40. If not for that, I imagine that "Everytime You Need Me" would have had a stronger showing on our chart.
This is still a great early 2000's EDM track, though, and we still enjoy it.
As for Fragma, "Everytime You Need Me" wouldn't be the last time they appeared on the AeschTunes Top 40. Over the chart's run, they made three additional appearances.
