Trying to get back in the groove after the holidays and two holiday sickness gifts!
@collibrina, from FP-100C negatives. The first is not bad; the second is what happens when you get bleach (which cleans the opaque layer off the back) under the edges of the negative onto the emulsion.
The way I "scan" negatives these days, color ones especially, is to put the negatives on a light table and photograph them, then do the color inversion and balancing etc in Lightroom. The biggest advantage here is that this will work with VERY dense negatives and VERY base fogged old film. Even a nice flatbed scanner like my V850 Pro won't come close to getting the 12-15+ stops dynamic range that I can get with my Sony or Olympus, using bracketing if necessary.
