I have been shading this mass attack for 75 years please send help
so close...... it'll be done by tomorrow :')
I managed to get 48 cats drawn!
Today is my birthday! I'm celebrating by taking the day off work so I can write as long as I want then going on a hike. I want to finish the ROTE Forest Ranger/Cryptid AU, BUT I'm almost done with the latest draft of my original novel, so that might take priority.
Spoiler for the FNAF2 movie
Under the cut
Last night, for the first time in as long as I can remember, I randomly thought “I’m happy to be alive.”
It gets better.
Bad things still happen, but there are so many more good times to come.
Never give up 💜

I know I never post, and idk who will benefit from this advice (not sure how obvious it is to begin with) but I've always had issues consistently doing my laundry/finishing it, so thought I'd share a couple simple things I've done to help myself:
-verbal alarms/reminders
I used to set timers, but I personally am prone to ignoring then or forgetting what they were for. A verbal reminder (either with an app or assistant device like Alexa) adds a sort of urgency I can't explain. No more forgotten clothes in the wash!
-folding clothes Immediately out of the dryer
I'm sure this is obvious to some people, but I can't emphasize enough how much this has saved my clothes from wasting away in a frumpy pile on a chair or wherever they end up. My family always put the clothes on the couch and folded clothes, but I could never follow through. Folding them right away sort of combines those steps of empty drier + fold clothes, so I'm less prone to procrastinating. Even if I do forget to eventually put them away, they're at least folded nice and not wrinkled.
-turning everything inside out when it goes in the hamper
A lot of my personal tricks have to do with eliminating time consuming steps. I've heard of people having smaller, separate baskets for different colors, too, but I find just automatically inverting my dirty clothes at the get go saves me the tedious act of doing an entire week's worth in one go.
Heres a little snippet into something I have been thinking about lately.
I used to work with crystals alot. I mean ALOT. I thought crystals and rocks were necessary to any craft from the heap of Wiccan-related books I used to read. But that's a whole ‘nother can of worms that I won’t go into here. ( no shade to wiccans this is just my experience from new age and wiccan books )
BUT, I used to really get hung up on the types of stones and what they meant by the books I read. Now that I stand where I am today, I don’t really use them. At all most times.
I found in my experience that the stones I bought, while beautiful and I adore collecting them, do nothing energy wise. They are like soulless stones. To me at least I have been told otherwise by friends.
There are very few I own nowadays that resonate with me. There is one that is a cornerstone of any altar set up I have. A large, bulky solid white quartz stone with flat faces almost resembling a miniature monolith. I found it in a very magical place I used to go to in CT with friends when we hiked.
It was an abandoned gold mine with so much quartz scattered about in huge boulders to tiny broken pieces. This solid piece of ugly stone called out to me more then any rock in a beautiful eclectic shop ever did. This mine is also very close to a still swampy pond that we believed was home to a powerful spirit we would give offerings to on certain occasions.
This ugly, jagged quartz is not crystal clear or perfectly clean. Dirt is wedged in its cracks with no hope of being cleaned manually. It is oddly shaped and usually falls off on my altar if I don’t prop it up. Its heavy, awkward and I adore it to pieces.
Beyond this, I have no shade with people who actively use crystals and stones in their craft. It worked for me once. But in my experience, don’t pass up those ugly stones you walk by because one could be for you and call you far more than any aesthetically perfect stone ever could.
Me?? Picking and sticking with a consistent tattoo design for my ocs???
