Why avoid mixing carbs and fats? I'm also doing keto and finding it hard because I'm working nights and for some reason I can't tolerate eating anything rich in the middle of the night. I crave crackers really bad

Supposedly if you eat them at the same time then your body is more likely to store more fat from the meal. I don’t really understand it but anyway it seems true in my limited experience with tracking it. 

Julian’s Bakery has REALLY GREAT almond flour crackers that are very low in carbs. They are super expensive, tho, especially if you have to order them online (some bourgie grocery shops and health food stores carry them), but they are incredibly filling so they last much longer than a normal box of crackers would. 

That's shitty of them. A port is a surgical procedure and carries much more risk that an IV stick. If your doctor hasn't suggested it and you haven't missed does of your medication IMO I don't even see why it would be an option.

ofc i havent really been to the doctor other than my neuro so idk what they would say about it. it is true that it usually takes a few tries but sometimes it just goes right in, idk, but it doesnt bother me really (except that one time in the hospital they drew blood from my knuckle.. lmao... if that was a regular occurrence i would have a port like yesterday)

This makes me mad for you because a port is a big decision with risk factors for you

thanks! that makes me madder bc they always make it sound super easy and no big deal but i kinda get the feeling its more like... they’re tired of trying to find a vein on me lol and want me to make it easier for them, idk
