IT'S BEEN 5 MINUTES CHILL.

Pure Starberry using A03 as an escape from the endless chatter in her house. One day for funsies she decides to see if anyone has written anything for the school her dad teaches(because it’s so big, there’s gotta be something funny)

She finds multiple fics, each by the same two authors(Candy Apple and Black Sapphire) making fount x reader, OC x fount, and crazy stories.

What's hilarious is Black Sapphire would still be working (at least part-time) as The Fount's nanny for the younger three (Ze, Frosted, and Stardust).

So, the next day when Black Sapphire comes and helps Truthless get the kids up and making breakfast, she sidles up next to him.

"Hey, Sapphie..."

"Hey, princess." He's busy buttering toast. "Can you go grab the jam from the fridge?"

"Oh, yeah, mhm, sure thing...SapphireWrites87..." She gives him a side eye glance.

Black Sapphire froze and his eyes went wide.

She can't hold back her grin as he turns to face her.

"What..?" He finally exhales.

"Nothing!" She giggles and shakes her head.

"Princess," he waves a butter knife in her face, "Don't make me ask again."

Pure Starberry turns and runs off giggling.

Fount - handled buying the tickets and pushing the stroller

Truthless - handled actually REMEMBERING the tickets and brought snacks

Pure Starberry - She's reading everything at every exhibit. She likes when the exhibits have a big glass wall. Doesn't matter what it is, she'll sit and watch for 15-20 minutes.

Starlight Vanilla - It is TOO LOUD. Too many screaming kids and he deals with enough of that at home, so he took his hearing aids out and is walking around in his own world. He sticks with his twin though.

Blueberry Orchid - she's a shark girlie, so she's seated at one of their exhibits and just watching them. She's got her noise canceling headphones on so no one is bothering her.

Vanilla Nebula - he wants to see the reptiles! Maybe even handle one if they're doing a lesson.

Pure Milkcrown - she likes the colors in the moon jelly exhibit and it's usually quieter there, so that's where she wants to go

Zenith Milk - they're watching the otters.

Frosted Eclipse - he wants to see the wetlands birds exhibit!

Blueberry Stardust - she wants to see the penguins!! That baby's got her face PRESSED to the glass, giggling every time one swims by.

So, I go on and on about how Pure Starberry is a prodigy, but she's more of a "street smarts" kind of prodigy. She's good with people and doesn't like the standard conformities of academia (She butts heads with authority, in other words). She's curious and demands answers.

Blueberry Orchid, I haven't mentioned much, but she's ALSO a prodigy and she's more "book smart". She's not good with people, but she's extremely academic. She's obedient and follows rules to a T.

Blueberry Stardust IS ALSO a prodigy, but she is both "street smart" AND "book smart". She's charming and approachable, but incredibly academic. She only butts heads with authority if she thinks they're purposely keeping knowledge from her. She's like Pure Starberry in that she's VERY curious.

Well, I will say, as dark as I sometimes thought about taking the fic, I don't think I ever considered killing Truthless Recluse off (I probably did at one or two points but eh)

If he had died in chapter 90, there would be no Blueberry Orchid. She'd die woth him.

There wouldn't really be a funeral?

Best guess, The Fount would likely go to Eternal Sugar and beg for one of her jam jars. He knows he's dead, she knows he's dead, but The Fount is desperate to preserve his Doll exactly the way he is.

So, The Fount would keep his body in a jar of blueberry jam.

The twins were still with Black Sapphire in the secret garden, and when the heroes and Salt return with the news and details, Black Sapphire would fight like hell to stay with the kids.

Because, since there's no Truthless Recluse, there's no one (really) to protect him.

The twins would be devastated. Both would fall into deep, DEEP depressions, wondering why their papa left them, and why their father won't come get them and fix this??

Eventually (a few months, or maybe even years later) The Fount would come to collect his children.

He wouldn't apologize to Black Sapphire, but he'd force him to come raise the twins (Black Sapphire would go anyways).

He...isn't as doting or loving a father anymore. He hardly does his job as headmaster.

And worst of all, he's taken Candy Apple on as an additional assistant.

The twins hardly see him.

Both withdraw from anything outside of the Spire and each other, going mute from grief.

Choco Caramel Drizzle and the Dough Trio try their best to cheer up their friends, to get them involved in life again, but they (and The Fount) shut them out.

They become a very sad, very isolated family unit that hardly speaks to each other.

Even Eternal Sugar tries to help, dragging The Fount and the twins to the Garden. But when The Fount sees the twins staring at the jam jars, he panics and returns them all to the Spire.
