Meet Chichi! She is my new foster rabbit. She's 7 years old, lived in an outdoor hutch all her life without any company, and she has cancer because she was never spayed. Sadly, female rabbits are extremely prone to cancer in their reproductive systems if not spayed by their first birthday, and she was only spayed after she was surrendered to the shelter I work with. She is mine for the rest of her life, which is estimated to be about 6-12 months long. As such, I will likely be renaming her. But I need everyone to see this adorable, sweet girl who is hanging out in my lap and shows no sign of leaving it despite it being her first day home. Her first owners were idiots to not cuddle this sweetheart all the time.
As you can see, Mocha's getting along well with Toasty and Peri. They won't be left alone just in case, but she's very assertive with them without being aggressive, and they are both interested but cautious. Peri used to be best friends with a very aggressive house rabbit, who put him in his place as soon as they met. He learned his lesson, and didn't try to chase a rabbit inside again! Toasty hasn't had experience with small pets inside (that I know of), but she's learning quickly.

As you may know, I've been fostering a rabbit named Blizzard for a few months now. On Wednesday morning I noticed he wasn't feeling well and began treating him for gas. I contacted the rescue and they gave me advice, but I wasn't able to get him to the vet that night. He received sub q fluids and critical care and the next morning we brought him to the vet.
He was diagnosed with acute kidney failure and was not given much time, but they began the process of treatment. I visited him after work and took the bottom 3 pics. He died 3 hours after I left.
I am completely heartbroken. He was such a sweet bun and had finally had someone express interest in adopting him. I just hope his last few months with me were happy. I'll miss you, Blizzard 😔

A rabbit hoarder surrendered all their rabbits to the rescue who put the call out. So I’m fostering this guy.
So far:
He’s a bit underweight.
Fully mature male, maybe about 3 years old.
Just been desexed before being taxi’d to me.
Cautiously curious.
Fat cheeks soft fur and striking blue eyes.
The rest is unknown. Not a nice situation he’s come out of but he doesn’t seem as traumatised as Velvet.
