The alcohol’s influence on her system completely unfiltered her thoughts, including the ones she would have preferred to keep to herself whilst sober. “Fuck this. . .I like you so much. . .I think I’m going to fall for you. Shit.” She’d tried to avoid him for a week, just so she could contemplate over her feelings. Damn, she hated this; loathed herself for not knowing how to handle her feelings. “Damn. Fucking hell, I’m scared.” Scared of wanting to be with him, of actually considering on giving herself another chance to open her heart. She tried so hard to be firm, but she wasn’t immune to the handsome smile and blue eyes; it got her to soften up.

The television was on, and she presumed he was watching what she hoped was at least an interesting program. “Being comfortable. For example, right now. You make a great pillow. “wished i went last year.” he was a sophomore in college now so he could have very well attended the festivities the year prior. however, who would he have gone with? had jamie attended with someone else? was this the first year he was going to brave this alone without someone like henryk? “it’s a gem then. if they don’t promote it much… takes up a lot of room though. i can’t believe people just miss this on the outskirts of london.” regardless, he hushed for the sake of enjoying the show, leaning back in his chair with arms crossed, eyes glossed over the thousands of patterns flashing before him.
With a shrug of his shoulder, Jamie grinned. “On the bright side, you can go again next year and the year after!” He nodded his head as he agreed, “Definitely, and it’s a beautiful show too.” He watched the show as well, making small comments as his eyes remained glued to the lights. A couple more minutes went past and the show has come to an end. He clapped his hands as he turned to face Henryk. “You know what would be great? If there’s a carnival. With lots of food and snacks and all those good stuff.”
