Now that I have your attention, here are the rest of the perks. Like, there are so many. Why aren’t you dating me already?

I am a writer. If I love you, you’ll automatically become my muse. So you’ll probably have beautiful poems written about you. You’ll also be bombarded with long, genuine, letters/messages that express my love for you. Also, throw in 3-4 female fictional characters, because they’ll definitely be inspired by you. And at least one full length novel that tells our story. So in short, if I fall in love with you, I’ll make the whole world fall for you too. Like they say, the easiest way to achieve immortality is to make a writer fall in love with you.

I am not clingy. Exactly the opposite, in fact. I’m an introvert and I need my space. I’ll not beg you to meet me every day or get mad if you don’t text back ASAP. I love being alone. So you’ll never have to ask me to give you space or cross check with me when you’re going out with your pals. Because chances are, I’ll probably be cooped up in my room doing my own thing. No need to text me for hours or get worried if you don’t say goodbye properly.

Our dates will be low-key. Expect movie marathons (preferably horror) with pizza. Strolls at the park, while we have a heart to heart; chilling at the beach, sipping coffee while we listen to good music; gazing at the night sky while we try to unravel the universe, small picnic dates, to name a few. We may go out to eat from time to time because I love food.

I’ll always split the bill. I’m very systematic when it comes to money. I don’t like owing anyone money or taking them for granted. I understand you’re a broke college student like me, not a billionairess who has excessive money to spare.

Fiercely loyal. You’ll sleep easy knowing I’m not texting any girl behind your back. I’m not a cheater. Also, um, I hate most people so the chances of me going after anyone is slim to none, okay?

I’m very liberal minded. Live and let live is my motto in life. I believe in equality. I don’t judge people. I believe in the concept of choice. So you can come to me anytime, tell me anything you want knowing that you can 100% trust me and that I won’t judge you for what you did/are doing even if I won’t agree with you.

Honest. I can’t beat around the bush, and I’m honest to a fault. So if you ask me something I’ll be completely honest about it. I’m also very good at taking criticism. So you don’t have to lie to me when I ask you something. I expect you to be 100% honest with me when I ask for your opinion.

I’m straight forward. I don’t drop hints. Also, I’m dense. So if you are the hint dropping type, I probably won’t figure it out. I say it like it is.

Intellectual. Do you love to debate, talk about conspiracy theories or murder mysteries, or unravel the deep secrets of the universe? We can definitely do that. We can talk about politics, spirituality , philosophy , economics or Fanguy over a TV series (Hint: Gotham , mentalist , two and a half men , friends!) or talk about the futility of human existence. Please don’t ask me how my day was though, or how nice the weather is. I don’t care about that.

My parents are cool. My mom recently asked me why I haven’t gotten a girlfriend yet. Even my mum is sick of me being single *sobs*

Feelings > Material. So I don’t expect you to splurge on me or buy me expensive gifts. I’d prefer something more thoughtful like a mix tape of all the songs that remind you of me, or a heartfelt letter (I won’t ever say no to pizza though.)

Confident. I believe in myself, and I’m not the least bit insecure. So you might have dozens of guys lining up after you, it won’t bother me. I consider myself a Gentleman basically. Also, I won’t get jealous. Slightly possessive? Yes. Clawing your hair out because you were texting some guy? No.

Your dreams are my dreams. I’m going to fight for you. I won’t let you give up. I like ambitious women. So if there’s something you want to achieve, I’ll give you all my support. Feeling down and unconfident? Hit me up and I’ll give you a nice little pep-talk that will make you feel like you’re the Queen of the world, and you can achieve anything you set your mind to.
