Vivi Mort, god-Queen of the Reach. The first mortal to achieve Chim since Tiber Septim, taking his mantle and his crown.
Born under a different name, Vivi was originally from Deepwood Redoubt. Showing little to no magical abilities, she was sent to patrol the Southern border between Whiterun and Markarth.
While in the area of Old Hroldan, she found some unusual markings- in the code of the Foresworn. It spoke of a dream and a debt to be repaid- underneath were some symbols she didn’t understand- but they called to her. She had them tattooed on the back of her hands.
Soon afterwards, going to see her younger sister’s ascension into a Hagraven, she was taken by Ragal Thrallmaster to Castle Volkihar- where she stayed for fifteen years.
She is known for her collection of Daedric blessings and artifacts, as well as her friendship and loyalty to Madanach, King in Rags.
Something that bothers me about Galbatorix creating name slaves is that HE WOULD NEED EMPATHY. Murtagh said he had been doing it for a hundred years (Brisingr). He would need to understand people to a fundamental level and be practiced at it. Yet- he keeps on being described as mad (which I have so many issues with anyway) and empathy is what defeats him in the end. From this I can draw two different conclusions:
1.) If he is very good at using true names, we have no idea if the entirety of the Foresworn were with Galbatorix of thier own will.
2.) If he isn’t good at it, he is probably good at letting his people figure out thier true names and then taking the knowledge?
Anyone have any thoughts?
