remember the scene in season one where Barry knows about EoWells and Joe sort of pushes him to doubt Caitlin and Cisco, and he starts acting all weird around them. so Cisco goes to see Joe at the precinct and asks him if Barry's okay and what's wrong with him, and he is interrupted by a vibe. Cisco does accept Joe's explanation for what it is, and lets it go entirely and goes on until Barry's the one who's ready to talk.
i love that small scene a lot and i think it's very underrated. it's only a scene, i guess, but it's about Cisco caring and worrying about Barry and, even more, respecting his boundaries still, anyway.
#the flash#barry allen#cisco ramon#flashvibe#barrisco#barry x cisco#this one's been on my mind for a while#i rewatched the episode recently#and it really struck me#boundaries and space are such an important thing#maybe to me more than to some others#we all have our thing#but i feel like it's a big testament to how much cisco respects barry#and loves him#that when joe tells him he's just not okay at the moment#cisco doesn't pry#not with joe and not with barry either#he goes to joe because he's worried after the whole bee incident and the way barry's behaving around him#i think that's more than valid#yet if he's told basically that it's not his place to know or push#well he just doesn't#he keeps doings what he always does which is to be there for barry#i value that and love that a lot#that both barry and cisco trust and love and respect each other enough to accept that there's a need for space#for time#and that an answer will come when the other's ready#it feels like a very rare but really cool and good and healthy dynamic#to me
