Foot Stretches to Strengthen Arches and Prevent Cramps
Your arches play a vital role in supporting your body’s weight and maintaining balance. Weak arches can lead to cramps, flat feet, or even knee and back pain. The solution? A few easy foot stretches and strengthening exercises you can do anywhere.
Start with towel curls: place a small towel on the floor and use your toes to grab and pull it toward you. Repeat 10–15 times per foot. Next, do heel raises — stand with your feet hip-width apart and slowly lift your heels off the floor, then lower back down. This strengthens your arches and improves stability.
End your routine by flexing your toes and stretching them outward to improve muscle coordination. These stretches not only reduce cramping but also keep your feet resilient during walking, running, or daily tasks.
