I work in a really popular restaurant/bowling alley/arcade thing. Doesn't sound like it but it's actually pretty high-end. I'm a Foodrunner because I'm only 18, and in my area (Ontario, Canada) you need to have be at least 18 AND have your Smart Serve in order to touch any glass. Otherwise, you cannot touch any glasses because they might have had alcohol in them. In other words, I can't be a Server because I can't serve alcohol. This is important to remember. Recently, a woman in her 40s who has been serving since she was 20 got hired. She seemed very nice and I got along with her. Tonight we had an after-party for an award show, and the entire building was bought out by a record label for a grand total of 10 hours. 9pm to 7am. Which is all fine and dandy, because that means lots of money from us. The fucking COAT CHECK made $100 in tips in just an hour. The only issue is that people ate quickly and got full quickly, so my job was pretty much done. I spent the remainder of the night cleaning up plates and making sure the Servers had help with dishes and everything. At one point, I had to go find one of the managers to ask them a question. This server, K, walked right up to me and said "You should have a tray and be getting glasses like EVERYONE else!" Then stormed away. At this, I was fucking livid. My manager gets worried when I touch a glass that we know only had WATER in it (we only use one type of glass for water, other types for any form of alcohol), so I NEVER get glasses and this dumb bitch apparently didn't hear me when I told her the first 20 times that I can't fully wipe down HER tables unless SHE clears the glasses. I told her at the end of the night that she was extremely disrespectful. I would let it slide tonight because it was a stressful day for everyone, but if she ever snapped at me ever again, I would be letting the managers know just how much of a team member she was being (which is VERY important for our particular brand).
TLDR; a server in her forties yelled at me, an eighteen year old, because I wasn't legally allowed to clear glassware.

I work in a restaurant as a supervisor to a team of 10 teenagers who take all the food to the tables. They're called foodrunners, I am an expo.
Okay so one of my foodrunners comes over to me and says some mean bartender is yelling at her about 6-packs (A1, ketchup, 57, salt/pepper, tobasco) that need done.
This. Is. Not. Our. Job.
I go to explain this to the bartender. She gets in my face yelling about how "THESE 6-PACKS NEED DONE FOR UPSTAIRS." I say "That is not the job of the foodrunners. My team and I run food all night, roll silverware, and make 3 huge boxes of ranch portion cups. We do it every single night. The servers job is to prepare their 6-packs as we are running the food of 30 different servers and do not have time to make YOUR 6-packs that are YOUR job to do."
She yells about how it's not her job either. I said "Who is the server upstairs?" She yells "NO. ONE. That's what I've been trying to tell you." I said "Who is taking orders for upstairs?" She said "I AM." to which I responded "Then YOU are the SERVER. Do your 6-packs. We don't have time to. Every person on MY team under MY supervision has a job to do. That does not include doing YOUR job."
At this point someone else walks over. "What's going on?" This person asks. This bitch says back "This little brat says that the foodrunners can't do 6-packs." I interrupt her with "Not can't. Won't. It's not our job and we're busy. We've done them before when we're dead and our stuff is done, yes, but it is not our job. We are busy. My team has jobs to do. Just like you do, sweetie, but for some godforsaken reason, you refuse to do it."
Finally a supervisor above me wanders over. She gets screamed at by this woman too. The supervisor above me comes to me and says "Send one person to do it so she'll shut the FUCK up. And pull someone from the outside kitchen, where we aren't as busy, to run food in the meantime."
I do this. BUT. I give her my foodrunner with severe adhd who can't sit still for more than 5 seconds. Who is only a runner because he is CONSTANTLY moving. I give her him to do her 6-packs. It takes him an hour and a half (for reference, I can do 6 in 15 minutes) to do 10 of them because he keeps forgetting things places, getting distracted, and straight up running away from her.
She's fucking fuming. Comes to me. "He's taking forever!" She yells. "Yes...he has severe adhd and cannot sit still. Hence why he is a foodRUNNER and not a server who sits down and does 6-packs."
She huffs and puffs and throws a little tantrum and he comes back downstairs beaming at this point because he has finished all of them and is proud of himself for getting this job done. I tell him good job and he can go back to running now. She's fucking fuming, but can't do anything because technically he did as she asked and did her goddamn 6-packs for her.
Moral of the story-DONT TRY TO PUSH YOUR GODDAMN JOB ONTO ONE OF MY TEAM. IT IS NOT OUR JOB. NOT OUR RESPONSIBILITY. DO YOUR FUCKING JOB AND I WON'T SEND THE WORST POSSIBLE PERSON TO DO YOUR JOB FOR YOU.
And the thing is, if she had come to me and said "Hey, I'm really stressing and could use some help with my 6-packs. Could I borrow someone from your team to help me out?" I would have said hell yes in a heartbeat. But she yelled at one of my foodrunners (the one who came to get me and tell me what was going on), and started right off the bat yelling at me as well. And it wasn't even a stressed yelling of "I NEED HELP" It was "YOU NEED TO FUCKING DO THIS." Bitch nah. I don't need to. You've already screamed at kids on my team and now you're yelling at me? That's not cool and I refuse to help you anymore than I absolutely have to.
