this prompt is so open ended but i’m going to write it in the most predictable way for you b. i also changed how it was worded because it sounded clunky in my dialogue.

Matteo’s comfortable where he is, still in his flat surrounded by his friends and a little more than tipsy. He hasn’t drunk in a while so his tolerance is much lower than he’s used to. They’re playing some version of truth or dare because other games kind of got boring and they’re really the last stragglers of the party. Matteo’s spent most of the game leaning into David and sitting with his eyes closed just listening, it’s almost peaceful until it gets to his go.Â
“Oooh okay, I have a good one. Matteo truth or dare?” Jonas asks after he’s downed an egg shot without blinking an eye. Matteo doesn’t trust Jonas for a second with a truth, so he goes dare still not feeling great about it. “I dare you to not touch David until the next person calls your name.” Jonas grins wickedly, he knows this will be impossible for Matteo and that just makes him feel more competitive. “Easy. That’s not even going to be a problem. Hardly an inconvenience.” Matteo shrugs like it’s no big deal. “Ha as if. I bet you won’t even last five minutes.” Carlos jokes. “Watch me.” Matteo challenges.Â
Matteo moves away from David, leaning on the back of arm of the chair instead. “Should someone sit between them?” Kiki asks. “No, that’s cheating.” Jonas decides, “If someone’s between them that makes it easier.” Matteo shifts around already starting to regret going along with the dare. He gets clingy when he drinks and even centimetre of separation between him and David. “You okay baby?” David asks quietly and Matteo hates him. He’s smirking, reading how much Matteo hates this. “I’m regretting this already.” He groans.Â
David laughs rolling his eyes at his boyfriend, “You’ve got to win this for us though.” “Is it really worth the win if I can’t touch you though?” Matteo asks, hoping to get David on his side. “I think it is. I love winning, you know that.” Matteo groans at David. It’s not fair that he’s teaming up against him. “Can you sit still?” Hanna asks from where she’s sitting on the floor next to him. “Shut up.” Matteo snaps. “You can’t stand this can’t you?” Jonas is laughing sitting across from him. “No Jonas, I’m not a fan of you not allowing me to touch my boyfriend.”Â
The game keeps going on for a few more turns and Matteo gets a more little restless. At one point David reaches for Matteo’s leg to rest his hand on it without thinking and Matteo goes to move to rest his legs in his lap before Abdi calls them out. Matteo curls into himself more and sulks. He knows he looks like a brat but it’s not his fault. “This is a stupid dare.” He responds to Abdi telling him to rein it in. “Guys I feel kinda bad, he looks like a sad little kicked puppy. Someone just ask him.” Sam says. Matteo reaches over Hanna to high five her, “Thank you, finally someone’s on my team.” “Okay fine!” Hans says, “I’m going to waste my turn on you, but only because you’re so cute. Matteo, truth or dare?” “Truth.” Matteo says, moving back under David’s arm and holding onto him not. “Are you ever going to stop being such a needy gremlin?”Â
