Part I - FNF: Go Out-Sides

Technically an orphan, was raised by a mischief of human-intelligence rats (this is why Ritz is his brother) (This is also why no one knows his exact age or birthday).

This isn't why he has troubles with speaking, though. He's just like that, and would have been like that regardless of how he was raised.

His first language is Rattish, the rat language.

When he was 13-ish, the authorities realized there was a random human kid being raised by rats. Obviously the rats couldn't keep him forever(or even until he was an adult), since human kids need different stuff than rat pups (even ones that are closer to human intelligence,) and food and nutrition were a big issue.

As a result of the above, some official people put him in this facility (or something similar) so they could rehabilitate him to become more human-like, giving him the name Keith. They didn't abuse him or anything, but he still hated it because from his POV, they basically kidnapped him... especially considering they couldn't communicate their intentions to him since he only knew Rattish (although they were working on teaching him English). Even though he knows now that he would have likely died if he had stayed in the wild, he still has mixed feelings about the place.

Eventually, he was deemed fit enough to be adopted into a human family, those being his adopted parents Meiko and Kaito, as well as his adopted sister, Miku.

Even now that he's an adult and knows he's physically human, he still heavily identifies with rat-ness, and he still has several rat-like behaviors.

The reason his name is Boyfriend is because it's translated directly from Rattish. In Rattish, the word you get when you combine the word for "boy" and the word for "friend" doesn't mean "someone you're dating," it literally just means, "boy who is your friend."

He's learning ASL because GF is deaf, he's not that good at it yet though

Question 24

Not really...? I mean, the closest I got is White Sheep being sort of smart and very timid as opposed to Pink Sheep and BF being overconfident dumbasses but like... That's not something I really thought about until you asked.

Question 26

One thing that I find kind of interesting is the history of my Harvester para. No, not their in-universe backstory, but how they changed as a character over time. Back in early 2023, Harvester was hinted at in the original corruption mod (AKA what YACR was based on), but we really didn't know anything about them, they were literally just a silhouette on a rooftop.

So I got to thinking, "who is that?" And I assumed that they were the embodiment of the corruption, so the para version of them was initially called Corruption. Of course, that ended up being wrong, and now Corruption and Harvester are two completely different paras. However, I got a strange amount of their lore right that I wasn't even expecting it to, I mean, it was literally meant to be the point where YACR starts to deviate from the OG corruption mod in terms of plot.

The original twist that explained why YACR takes place over a year as opposed to most of OG corruption's second half seemingly taking place in a single night was that in this universe, BF and GF were originally going to be the ones to harvest the 10000 souls. However, with BF breaking himself and GF out of Corruption, the harvest was delayed until next year, with the embodiment of Corruption itself deciding to step in. While canon Harvester is (probably) not the embodiment of the corruption, immediately after they were properly introduced, we get these lines:

For those who can't read it, it says,

"You will be"

("REPLACE HIM")

"THE REPLACEMENT"

"YOU WILL BE"

"The HARVESTER"

So I was right about them not only being the harvester, but also that they were not the original person in that role. On top of that, there is a vague scene in the opening that I'm 75% sure is hinting at Boyfriend being the original harvester.

(it's kind of hard to show it in screenshots, but it shows BFs hand reaching out for a red orb thing and then it getting replaced with Harvesters hand when he reaches it. You can watch the opening here)

So, as a result, while the whole "Harvester wasn't the original harvester, Boyfriend was" thing is still a plot point in YACR, it's not set up like a major twist, since it's just... Not Anymore.

(on a related note, has something like this ever happened to anybody else? Where your one of your fictparas/fictparacosms managed to predict canon like that?)

Afterwards, all the stuff I got right (or was hinted at) got put into the Harvester fictpara I have today, and all the things I got wrong got put into the Corruption fictpara(primpara?), and they're two separate paras now.

Question 31

While I'm still thinking about Harvester, imma talk about his relationship with BF. Basically, they used to be in the same group that unleashed Corruption, the Children of the Harvest Moon (CHM for short.) However, BF and Harvester are the only two Corruptomancers (people with special powers over the Corruption) not only in the group, but also in the general area the story takes place in. Which gives them both a lot of power in a Corruption-infested world. And as they say, with great power comes great responsibility.

However, both of them disagree greatly with what that responsibility entails. BF views Corrupteds as victims, and it’s his responsibility to unCorrupt them, which he can do thanks to his Corruptomancy powers. Harvester, on the other hand, views Corrupteds as irredeemably evil, and believes it’s their responsibility to harvest their souls and give them to the Corruption deity so he can fix all the problems in the world. Which they can do, thanks to their Corruptomancy powers.

So, to summarize:

Question 7

I feel like BF would fuck the whole thing up and probably destroy his car and be like, "I nailed it 😎"

GF would do the same because she's also really stupid. But she'd be like "oooooooops 🥺👉👈"

Pico would be able to parallel park but he'd work so hard to do it. And when he finally does he'd be like "YEAH LETS GOOOOO"

Nene would be able to do it but she'd be such a bitch about it. She'd do it perfectly and then brag about it to everyone else in the car that she's better at it than them.

Darnell would be able to parallel park, and he'd be the only one that's normal about it.

Soul would not be able to parallel park. He'd try really hard for waaaay longer than is normal though.

Question 8

I don't really do a lot of worldbuilding, seeing as the setting of YAFAU is basically, "cartoony version of the real world with more sapient species than just humans" but I do enjoy figuring out both how the cultures of those nonhumans are, and how Corrupteds are and how work.

Question 9

This question isn't 100% applicable because my only semi-active paras rn that aren't fictparas are Crystal and Slimelady... Which is a small percentage of the entire group of paras.

I'm Storm or Stormy (either one works lol), and I'm 99% sure I have MaDD. My main is @starystorm, but I also run @funnier-as-a-daydreamer! I'm also an artist and overall creative, so you'll probably see a lot of para art and such. I tend to have one paracosm at a time for 1-3 years, based around a single fandom I'm hyperfixated on... So if my paracosm changes suddenly to a totally different fandom suddenly, then that's why. It's really cringe and that's why I haven't posted about it even tho I made this blog in 2022, but hopefully I'm gonna change my posting schedule to be more active. To be cringe is to be free!

Boundaries and BYF

I’m fine with non-MaDD/IDers interacting, however, keep in mind that this is a MaDD blog, not a fandom blog.

There is a small group of my paras who share a body due to reasons other than childhood trauma, and I am aware that in real-world terms this would be considered an endogenic system. However, I am neutral on syscourse IRL because I am not a system or a doctor, so it isn’t my place to decide what qualifies as a real system or not. (If you say you’re a system, I will treat you like one since I err towards the side of believing people’s experiences.)

I have no hard DNI, but if I don’t want you interacting, you will get blocked.

Most of the time, I keep my blog at 13+. If I ever post something NSFW (which I haven’t yet, I don’t like to think about that stuff too hard), I will tag it with #NSFT.

Stuff about the paracosm

My main paracosm, Your Average FNF AU (YAFAU) is, as you can probably tell by the name, a Friday Night Funkin' AU. The name is likely to be replaced in the future. However, it's more of a blanket paracosm with two major canon sub-paracosms.

FNF: Go Out-sides

FNF: Go Out-Sides is basically an AU of base-game FNF. The name is a pun on those remix mods that have names like B-sides, C-sides, etc. If I were to write it down, it would probably be an FNF mod or an animatic series, alongside some side-comics. It'd also be pretty episodic, but still have some traces of an overarching plot. This sub-paracosm is the "main plot" of the paracosm and is a revamped version of the story that was initially conceived.

Your Average Corruption Retelling

Your Average Corruption Retelling, or YACR, is a prequel to Go Out-sides taking place 3 years earlier. It's more based around the Corruption Mod. (<- recommended watching for this blog btw) If I were to write it down, it would probably be an animatic series. It would start off as a monster of the week type of series, but halfway through the underlying plot that was only foreshadowed up to that point would become apparent. Even though this sub-paracosm is a prequel to GOS, it's more lore-heavy than GOS.

I'll probably tell you more about the plots of these two stories as you follow the blog, so keep your eyes out and feel free to ask me anything!
