The box that held the pieces to her now tiny vector was held in a vice grip, Mikono shrunken in on herself as she tried to make her way through a crowded street. Waking up in this city, alone, with her only introduction being that of a scientist saying she was now part of an experiment stirred up a fear in her that she wasn’t quite sure how to handle. Whatever confidence she’d built up back home was as good as gone for the moment, eyes downcast and avoiding contact with anyone else as much as possible.
At least Shush was still with her-- The small white ball of fur was the most comforting thing she had at the moment, and the nuzzle against her cheek was enough to bring the smallest smile to her face. Just the two of them again would be a lot like her life before she met Amata and joined Neo-DEAVA. It was a bit saddening to think about, considering the close relationships she had with the other pilots now, but at the same time...
Had something not suddenly flown overhead, Mikono would’ve kept following the herd of people until she could think of some way to find her place in this city. But she and many others looked up, and doing so revealed that it wasn’t something flying, but someone.
And it was a someone she knew very well.
If anyone had been watching her, the change in her demeanor once she saw him was a big one. She didn’t look so hopelessly lost anymore. She was still afraid, terribly so-- But the place she belonged was with that person, and she was going to do her best to get there. Turning around and having to push past the crowd of people would be a difficult task, though, and the box with her vector inside was nearly forgotten.
“Amata-kun! Amata-kun!” Hopefully he hadn’t flown too far past her now that her cries couldn’t reach him.
