If you read my last tutorial post, you saw that on my first attempt at fluid nail art, I tried to speed up the process by not letting the puddles fully dry, and using a stamper to move them while they were still partly wet. It worked well enough, but this time I wasnβt in a hurry, so I did it the βcorrectβ way. I made a bunch of puddles before I took off my previous nail art and left them to dry while I went and did that. Once my nails were clean and shaped, I painted them with a white base, and then a sticky base coat. It was one hour and twenty minutes of dry time (which I know exactly thanks to my video time stamps). Then, using tweezers, I carefully peeled up one puddle, laid it on a stamper, and applied it to my nail. They were dry, but still very delicate and stretchy(?). I used my decal cutter to get off as much excess as possible, and then cleaned up the edges. I actually donβt think it took me more time to do it this way, and it was easier. Transferring was easier. Cleanup was easier. It was just better. So lesson learned.
