I’ve written nearly 200k in fanfic this year alone after a 4 year break oof. Not all is published, but wow. What a good year. (I don’t start posting a fic until it’s completed.)

1.  Reeds in the Wind: Currently the longest MDZS fic I have (until I release my Big Bang fic). It’s 26k of Jiang Cheng learning how to have feelings and work up the guts to try communicating with Wei Wuxian again. Meanwhile, Wei Wuxian uses embroidery as a love language. Needlework is just repetitive stabbing, after all! And you can never have too many Yunmeng Shuangjie feels :3

2. Inconceivable: Unexpectedly my most popular fic? I love this one because it features Lan Qiren being a supportive uncle, albeit begrudgingly. I have a lot of feelings about Lan Qiren (which I have slowly fleshed out over 40k words for my Big Bang fic)

3. Revenge is a Side Dish Best Served With Tea: I love Lan Wangji as much as anyone else but let’s face it, he’s the pettiest petty to ever be petty. It was fun to explore Lan Wangji’s relationships with other characters when all his relationships are filtered through their relationship with Wei Wuxian.

4. I Made My Choice and It Was You: What can I say? Lan Xichen and Wei Wuxian make good in-laws. I find post-canon Wangxian’s relationships with other characters deeply fascinating because they burnt a lot of bridges to get to where they are and now they need to slowly mend some of those bridges.

5. Tangled Threads: This one was just posted! I had a lot of anxiety with this one because it’s very different from what I normally write. Rather than a deep, introspective character study, this was a fun fic based on the premise of Xue Yang in anger management therapy with Wei Wuxian. It was a good exercise in broadening my bases as a writer :3 As this was written for the MXTX Big Bang, here’s some beautiful artwork for it!

Hi!! I’m so glad you enjoyed it!! I definitely had a lot of teasing out the lxc/wwx brother-in-law relationship :3

I am also very into Yunmeng reconciliation and I promise writing those words hurt me as much reading them hurt you ^^;; In all honesty, every canon wwx ultimately would find a way to return to Lotus Pier and slowly work out a smoother relationship with jc but with their communication skills? It’ll take them a while to get started and several years to work through their issues and learn to stop hiding things to protect the other, but they will get there eventually!

(And I may or may not be working on a Yunmeng Reconciliation fic at the moment — featuring a lonely jc trying to be less lonely, chinese silk embroidery by wwx, and rabbit therapy >:3 I’m on the last scene so it’ll be up.....hopefully within the month!)

I do! My main instrument is the piano (RCM 10) and I also am a piano teacher! I also play saxophones and the clarinet.

5. Someday I want to write something extremely China based and have someone scream cultural appropriation at me so I can laugh when they find out I am Chinese. ((Also because there is an important point that can, and should, be made about cultural appropriation that requires this specific set up))
