Floret with amnesia at 3am, yelling at the hab: let me out!
Hab: sorry cutie, you can't go outside yet, it's still bedtime.
Floret, banging on the door, let me ouuuuuuut!
Me: sweetie, do you wanna go back to sleep?
Floret, not remembering who I am: let me out, I don't wanna be here, you can't just lock me in your Hab and-
Floret: I know you...
Me: sure do, where from?
Floret: I'm supposed to listen to you.
Me: not what I asked, but that's also true.
Floret, putting down her bag and instrument: can you hold me?
Me, picking up my darling girl: I'm your mistress, Ms. Tulpan Lilly, you're my floret, Flora Lilly, first floret.
Floret who's been officially mine for several months: I'm a floret?
She's fine now, still working out her class Z dose and how to structure her mornings to get her back on track as quickly as possible on days when she doesn't remember me.
If anyone has advice on caring for a floret with chronic memory issues, I'd be delighted to hear them. It can be difficult with how often this specific routine needs to be done. It's worth it, obviously, but I can tell it stresses her out, and she doesn't need that.
