Their taste
From my work in AO3 Winx Club's Headcanons
According to Season 8 (so, technically canon), Flora and Helia share the same tastes. I remember it being mentioned that their favorite color was green, their favorite ice cream flavor was strawberry, and something else I canât quite recall.
But honestly⌠I donât think thatâs true.
In my mind, they donât have the exact same tastes. Maybe they overlap in things like reading or certain hobbies, but not in everythingâespecially not food or small personal preferences.
For example, I can see Flora loving strawberry ice cream. That fits her. But Helia? I imagine him preferring something like dark chocolate, or maybe pistachio. I donât think he likes overly sweet thingsâI feel like he leans more toward bitter or subtle flavors.
Like, I can definitely see Helia drinking coffee, while Flora prefers tea.
Same with colors. I donât really see Heliaâs favorite color being green. If anything, Iâd say blue, or gray, or even creamâsofter, more muted tones. And even if we say he does like green⌠how many times did we actually see him wear it? Aside from his everyday outfit, which is already kind of a muddy green⌠not much else.
Another thing: I do think Helia enjoys being outdoors, but I donât think he necessarily enjoys working with plants. Heâs there because Flora loves it, and heâs happy just being with her. Helping her, handing her things, or simply watching her.
Flora, on the other hand, does enjoy Heliaâs interestsâbut once they start living together, I imagine she has to tone down her experiments a little. Not because Helia asks her to, but because she doesnât want to overwhelm him with all her mutant plants.
In fact, I like to think that one time, one of her plants grabbed Heliaâs art supplies⌠and from that day on, she banned that specific plant from the house.
And Helia? He didnât complain. Maybe it bothered him a little, but he didnât want Flora to feel restricted in her own space.
And thatâs exactly why I think theyâre such a perfect couple.
Theyâre considerate of each other. They try to meet each other halfway. They pay attention to what makes the other comfortableâand what doesnât.
And honestly⌠I think thatâs the best thing anyone could ever ask for in a relationship.

Season 4, headcanons
From my work in AO3 Winx Club's Headcanons
Iâm also going to rewrite this one but⌠letâs talk about it a bit.
I firmly believe that Saladin financially supported the specialists⌠Why do I think that? They found a place that was way too good before they even started working⌠with what money?
I mean, it had to be Saladin. How was he going to send them off with not a single coin in their pockets? Obviously not.
Also, if we look at the comics, when Helia decides to leave school, Saladin immediately offers him money. I donât remember if he accepted it, but I know he offered. And besides, how was he going to send his only grandson off just like that⌠not like Skyâs father, who only found out later that Sky was on Earth basically pawning off Eraklyonâs royal treasureâŚ
I also think Helia would report any issues with the apartment or work back to Saladin. Not in a complaining way, more like mission reports or even joking about their problems. I imagine theyâre really close and talk at least once a day or every couple of days.
And Iâm sure Helia talked a lot about Floraâabout how worried he was, how he could notice when she wasnât okay but didnât want to overwhelm herâŚ
Another theory about Season 4, since thatâs the topic: I think they all had separate bedrooms, but only two bathrooms. So the real problem was at night if everyone wanted to use the bathroom at the same time. Mornings were only chaotic if one of the girls stayed overâespecially Stellaâbecause theyâd take over the bathroom and annoy everyone. Though none of the guys complained⌠their girlfriends do the same, so it was better to stay quiet.
Another thing I noticed about Florelia in Season 4 is that I do think their relationship became more intense during their time on Earthâmuch more intimate.
For example, in the scene where the girls go to the park to teach Roxy how to be a fairy, and they stop by the bar firstâhow Roxy had to pull Flora away from Helia, and how her was touching his lips⌠fangirl screaming, Iâll leave the rest to your imagination.
Then later, when the animals spill the smoothies, and Florelia is cutting and squeezing lemonsâFlora gets some in her eye, Helia gets worried, but she tricks him and splashes a bit on himâŚ
THAT WAS SO ADORABLE.
It felt like they had grown into a deeper level of trust, unlike Season 3 (in my imagination), where they were still in that âhoneymoon phaseâ but didnât yet have the confidence to make playful or mischievous jokes. There was still that hesitation, that fear of being annoying or somehow ruining things.
But by Season 4, it was all trustâexcept when it came to Flora talking about her powers (Iâll get into that in another section or chapter).
By then, they trusted each other enough to speak up when something bothered them, or to call each other out over small things that in the past they might have thought were annoying. They also slept togetherânot just for comfort, but simply because theyâd go on dates and end up staying over at each otherâs place (headcanon of season 3).
Not very often, though, so they wouldnât bother the others. But honestly, Helia would have moved in with her on Earth if he couldâhe just didnât say it because he knew Flora wouldnât want to leave her friends in the middle of a mission.
In summary, Season 4âas Iâve said a million timesâhad so much potential. It was one of the best seasons to explore the lives of adult fairies, with real responsibilities as guardians.
I would have loved to see each of them briefly return to their realms to handle unfinished business. For example, the princesses dealing with paperwork, making decisions for their kingdoms, or simply being reminded by their parents that they are heirs to the throne and need to begin (or continue) their preparation.
Or maybe not even physically return, but at least mention itâlike having to check on something, or receiving a call from their parents. Being on a mission doesnât erase their responsibilities in the Magic Dimension.
But anyway⌠it was the last season with a strong plot before they did what we all know they did⌠and wellâŚ

Season 7: Flora & Motherhood
From my work in AO3 Winx Club's Headcanons
Iâm just going to say it: Floraâs personality in Season 7 changed because that was the point in her life where she was supposed to have her first child⌠and then Nickelodeon interfered.
No, I donât have proof.
Yes, Iâm still right.
Seasons 1â5 Flora? Shy, gentle, endlessly supportive.
Seasons 6â7 Flora? Less timid, more assertive, and suddenly capable of putting her foot down.
And Season 7 specifically? She was strict with Amarok.
Thatâs all the evidence I need.
Flora is absolutely the strict parent.
Helia is like âheâs just expressing himself,â meanwhile Flora is already three seconds away from banning the magical wolf from the house.
And donât try to tell me âthatâs just how she is,â because Season 1 Flora supported her vain plant while it caused chaos in Stellaâs room.
So yes, her personality changed. Growth, development, life, etc.
Anyway.
Helia is 100% the âgo ask your motherâ parent.
And Flora is the âno, thatâs dangerousâ / âjust because your friends did it doesnât mean you shouldâ parent.
I have no proof, but I have no doubts.
Postdata 1: Since I'm already here talking about parenting, let me recommend a chapter of Florelia as parents. It's part of my story "Cozy Moments."

In case someone noticed that the first prompt is the same as last year đżâ¨
Day 1 is First Meeting.
The reason is that I just really love the idea of exploring all the possible ways they could have met.
What if Helia hadnât returned to Red Fountain that yearâwould they have still found each other? How? What if they were university students instead? Or if they met later in life, as adults?
There are a million different universes we can create, each one with its own path, its own timing, its own version of them.
Thatâs why I want to build this as a small tradition: keeping September 8th as the start of the event, and beginning each year by writingâor readingâa new version of how their paths first cross.
A thousand ways, all leading to one destiny âşď¸đ
Florelia Headcanon
From my work in AO3 Winx Club's Headcanons
Do you remember Season 2, Episode 8, when Chatta kept telling Flora to look at the boys and stop talking about plants⌠and how Stella had all those boys flirting with her?
Well, Iâve always believed Flora was getting flirted with tooâshe just didnât notice it at first. In her first year, she was so focused on doing well that she didnât pay attention. And in her second year, when she was actually open to dating⌠thatâs when she falls for Helia, and suddenly there are less boys around her.
Why? No, itâs not because Specialists magically ârespectâ that a fairy has a boyfriend (look at Stella and Brandon S2âŚ). Itâs because they were intimidated once they found out Flora was dating the best Specialist of their year and the grandson of Saladino.
And I mean⌠this isnât Brandon, a simple page. Helia, in my canonâand honestly in many peopleâsâis almost royalty. At minimum, heâs nobility. He comes from a direct line of one of the most powerful mage in the Magic Dimension, part of the Company of Light, and headmaster of the best military academy in the Magic Dimension.
So yes. Helia is basically a prince. No debate.
So letâs continue.
Even if Flora was on many Specialistsâ radar, they all backed off the moment they realized she chose him.
Another theory I have is that Flora actually had a rough time in the first months of their relationship. There were probably a lot of rumors about her interest in Helia. Isnât it a little suspicious that the girl who never looked at anyone suddenly ends up dating none other than Saladinoâs grandson?
To some people, especially the more malicious ones, that could easily look like âinterestâ or strategy. And honestly, I wouldnât be surprised if some Specialists started rumors just because their ego was hurt. If the story had focused on Flora, Iâm sure they wouldâve written her surrounded by boys flirting with herâbut our distracted, slightly delusional fairy, just⌠didnât notice.
And not just Specialists. Fairies too.
Are we really supposed to believe a man like Helia was walking around Alfea in his uniform and not getting attention from half the school? I donât buy it. Helia definitely had a fan club.
Heâs basically everything many fairies would want: handsome, kind, strong, rich⌠and well connected. More than one girl must have tried something with himâbut unfortunately for them, Flora is in Alfea, and the man of my dreams only has eyes for her.
So yes, I also believe some fairies spread rumors out of spite once they realized Flora âwonâ one of the most desired men in Magix.
Anyway⌠I truly believe this couple went through a lot more than we ever saw in Season 3, and those missing moments couldâve added so much depth to their story.
