I understand your hesitation. But it's all about how you do it. Men speaking up against sexism is great as long as you don't speak over other women. Give space and support to women who are speaking up. Make sure you give women credit for the ideas you're putting forth, because I can almost guarantee a woman has already said it. Finally, don't expect cookies. If you do get cookies, be thankful and all but remind your fellow men that your behavior should be considered baseline decency. Also don't forget to listen if you say something wrong and women start calling you out.

Whilst I can see a lot of your points. Why would you want Olaf AND the reindeer gone??? Comic Relief characters don't fit the story or something? Because I loved them...

I'm of the slightly bizarre opinion that characters shouldn't exist solely for the purpose of "comic relief". For the purpose of the film though, Olaf is definitely a better character and provides more color to the film than the moose does

I think Olaf needs to provide more story for Anna and Elsa - he's one of Elsa's few "good" creations and she barely acknowledges it as such when she sees him. He's only used for her to realise that she can create a bigger snow monster. Nor does Olaf provide Anna with anything important - he should obviously remind her of the good times we had and the reunion between the two sisters SHOULD have used Do You Wanna Build A Snowman as a reprise instead of For the First Time in Forever which has no thematical bearing on the scene at hand, which is supposed to be about how Anna loves Elsa's creations, about the rekindling of their sisterly love (which still exists at the start, and only stops existing because of bad parenting)

Speaking of missed reprises, the only way Hans' plot twist could have actually been sort-of okay would have been by using a reprise of Love Is An Open Door - which, textually, lends itself to a double meaning perfectly. An open door being something you walk right into - not unlike a trap. Never mind that Hans' plan doesn't actually make a shred of sense - this plot point doesn't WORK because what we're actually told about his character in his very first scene doesn't add up to what he does in the END.

Also, sorry but, WHY is Olaf even alive? Not that he would have been very useful as another prop for Kristoff to project a silly voice onto, but is there any explanation at all to how Elsa's powers have allowed that to happen? Of course, when she ultimately "learns to control her powers", that means she also learns how to create ice skates out of thin air.

Although "controlling the powers" was never really the issue, as the first scene clearly shows she has it under control for as long as other people respect her. Anna is the one who mucks up by not listening to her sister's warnings - and she continues to do so throughout the movie. I guess we're supposed to take Elsa's warnings as "self-harming" somehow. And sure, locking yourself away and being distant isn't necessarily helpful, but she was sort-of always locked away and it's sort-of never been her own choice. This might've worked if Elsa had run away as a child as a result of her own actions and Anna only just found out and tried to reach the sister she thought she'd forgotten (but Olaf brings back the memories of her, somehow?) Or the truth about Elsa comes out when her powers grow so large that the entire kingdom freezes over and the parents have to confess what happens? I don't know, I'm trying to find a way to make Elsa's actions HER OWN ACTIONS and not "things that happen to her as decided by other people". The movie doesn't rebel against this vocally, and for a movie that spells its message out loud a couple of times instead of telling it cleverly, that means there's no reason for the viewer to ever be pushed to think the parents made a wrong decision.
