sometimes i just get the utter urge to draw something completely out of my normal art style and today simon was my victim :’)

Sometimes, to Nina’s surprise, people would tell her they found her brother intimidating. She laughed at the thought. Her brother? Flint? The clumsy dork who wouldn’t shut up about his dumb plants? Ridiculous. 

Until she passed him randomly in the halls of the Medical Bay once, his Fusion angrily grating up against hers. Whatever had transpired, he was pissed. His height felt towering in that moment, his eyes piercing and dark. His boiling rage crawled up through his lungs and into his shoulders like a monster set free from its cage, casting heavy shadows on anyone near him. She was so used to his calm demeanor, his neutral faces and smiles and monotone voice that she almost didn’t recognize him. It sent a shiver down her spine.

She understood now.
