Haven’t made a song-of-the-day post for a while and there’s about half a month’s worth of uncelebrated songs still remaining on my playlist so today’s
Song of the Day
is
Bír Bír by Korpiklaani featuring Fleret
This is yet another example of the strange phenomenon of “I am thoroughly creeped out by the entire concept of getting drunk but somehow like ten percent of my playlist is drinking songs” (it’s the folk rock thing, they keep getting recommended to me and I keep enjoying them). What can I say, this song slaps! (And I admittedly didn’t make the connection between bír and beer until weeks after I’d already added it to my playlist and Spotify presented me with multiple other versions of this same song in a variety of languages at which point I felt very silly - they REALLY love their beer!)
Fleret is a Czech folk-rock band. Lyrics: Libor Mysliveček Hudba: Libor Mysliveček, Zdeněk Hrachový
