I wasn't entirely sure how the Fox had gotten into my apartment, but far be it from me to ignore a request like that. I yawned softly, before shifting over to make space for them to crawl up into my bed beside me, my immediate instinct taking over to curl up against them and nuzzle into their chest. At first, they seemed a bit surprised, but settled quickly. My wing draped over them, and their tails curled around my waist. I made no efforts to hold back my soft warbles and coos of contentment.

There was a long pause between us. I could tell they weren't asleep yet, and I wasn't sure I was going to get back to sleep anytime soon. I tilted my head up, looking towards my friend, who was looking back with an unreadable expression on their face. My eyes softened, fingers curling into the soft hoodie they wore over their traditional clothing. "...truth be told...I broke my phone. A few days ago."

They tilted their head, seeming surprised to hear about it. "Yeah? Accidentally or on purpose?"

"On purpose...kind of." I admitted, letting out a quiet sigh. "Someone...texted me. Someone I kept blocking, y'know? I don't even know how they got the new number."

There was a certain look on their face. Like they wanted to ask why that was enough for me to break my phone, and I felt myself blush. "He assaulted me."

"Oh." The Fox blanched, their hands twitching, before I felt their arms wrap around my shoulders. I let out soft coo, my wings twitching slightly under the gentle affection.
