Haircut day. This time @prerna2510 has kept it slightly tighter with layers on either side to give it lightness. Hair (especially for women) is such an important part of the story we tell the world about ourselves. Short hair says I live in a world that permits me to go against the traditional notion that 'long hair is beautiful'. It lets you see my neck, my cheekbones, my ears and tells you that I do not use hair as my walls. Does it mean I don't need any? Or that I have other barriers you can't see. Hair is also an intensely personal part of your body. We exist in intimate familiarity of the people we live with, share bathrooms and beds and kitchens with. There are rules for who can touch your skin and how. What about hair? Whose hands move through your locks other than family when you are very young and lovers when you are older? That's probably why they say that your hairdresser may also be a confidant.
