Scorch-heart has chronic bronchitis after the fire

she also has an older brother called Faithpaw, he’s technically Flamestar’s nephew but she adopted him after his father’s death and he and Scorchkit treat each other like siblings

their clan lives in a cave near a beach

Flamestar does not forgive the other clans for not helping them during the fire and refuses to attend clan gatherings (although other cats often go in her stead)

she does! though Burnclan (renamed after the fire, mostly as a jab at the other clans who did not help them during or after the fire) had to mostly revolutionise how they hunted as they now live in a low-prey area. most of their hunting consists of fishing and/or setting traps. Flamestar still hunts traditionally out of habit, it’s more like a hobby to her.

Is Scorchstar's name irony, or did they change it once they were injured?

1) (and probably the most obvious) how did they get those scars? They're mostly congregated on the front, like they were grabbing something and were burned(?). Grabbing Flameheart? (The kitten. I hope I'm not getting them confused.)

2) can they see???

Flamestar got her scars protecting Scorchkit from a fire shortly after she was born. This same fire destroyed her clan’s camp and drove them from their old territory.

She cannot see out of her right eye and has limited vision in her left, like this:
