Class in New Rome & 12th Legion
So this is a mix of scattered research and artistic license, because I am not a historian, but want more complexity to New Rome, Camp Jupiter and especially the Roman Legion.
Gods & demigods
Gods: The Roman gods are much more absent than the Greek. The chose champions and give blessings rather than walking the mortal plane and having kids, so first-gen demigods are extremely rare.
Greek-Roman strength divide: Greek demigods are typically first-gen, so individually much more powerful combatants, but Romans have numbers and cohesive strategy to exploit that.
First gen demigod perception: fear and awe of inhuman baseline abilities in strength, endurance and reflexes. Considered more savage than sophisticated due to raw combat abilities, ADHD and dyslexia/reading problems.
Worship
Worship: In ancient Rome, priests were trained through Colleges: Pontiffs, Augurs, Quindecimviri Sacris Faciundis and Epulones. Individuals could be members of multiple colleges.
College of Pontiffs (Collegium Pontificum): This was the most important priesthood in Rome, headed by the Pontifex Maximus, the 'bridge-builder' between mortal and divine. The pontiffs were responsible for state religion, overseeing rituals, maintaining religious law, and advising the state on religious matters.
College of Augurs (Collegium Augurum): Interpreting omens.
College of Quindecimviri Sacris Faciundis: Interpreting the Sibylline Books, supervising outsider cults and religious practices.
College of Epulones: organizing and overseeing public banquets (epulum) held in honor of the gods.
Pontiff Priests: Flamines are priests dedicated to the service of a specific god. A specific category of flamines are: the flamines maiores (major priests) and flamines mainores (minor priests). The Flamen across deities were overseen by the pontifex, who were headed by the Pontifex Maximus. A pontifex could temporarily fill in for a flamen, but only the Pontifex Maximus could fill in for the Flamen Dialis in Jupiter's temple. The Pontifex Maximus can also only be chosen by other priests through vote.
Political sabotage: The flamen was a sacred position within Roman society; however, certain people could be appointed as flamines to stop them from gaining power. They were sometimes not permitted to run or hold a political office. For the purpose of New Rome, this is limited to heads of temples, with exceptions made for being raised on shields in battle for praetor. Jason became a pontifex instead of temple head to avoid being pigeonholed by Octavian.
Flamines maiores: Jupiter (Flamen Dialis), Mars (Flamen Martialis), Quirinus (Flamen Quirinalis).
Flamines minores: The twelve flamines were dedicated to Carmenta, Ceres, Falacer, Flora, Furrina, Palatua, Pomona, Portunus, Vulcan, Volturnus and two unkown deities.
Priests dedicated to other gods were also called flamens, but not held within maiores or minores titles and therefore of lesser prestige.
Ritual prohibition: F.Dialis had the most extensive and strict probihitions, but others are more common and widespread, such as prohibition from touching a horse, goat or foods such as leavened bread, all of which are associated with the Underworld. (A Percy-specific exception could be the pegasus, as a creature created by Neptune, which would allow a Blackjack appearance, or just extend that to Arion as a demigod horse-child of Neptune and Ceres).
Class
Social classes: Patrician (upper class, lineage, political power, wealth), Equite (middle class, 'knights', militry men, merchants, some political influence), Plebian (commoner, artisans, merchants), Servitor (historically slaves and freedmen, but I've made up a different term and pretended like a thousand odd years would bring about some social development. Farmers and labourers shifted from plebian to here socially).
First gen demigods often afforded equite class to not offend their divine parent, opportunity to amass wealth/influence enough to pass the rank down to children.
Fawns
In cannon, have terrible social tanding. This could be explored as a combination of things, like social stigma/perception of 'unclean' and 'Underworld' affiliation relating to flamens prohibition from touching goats. Roman priority on urbanisation and loss of wild spaces making fawns outcasts and deemed unnecessary (where at CHB integrated into camp function on strawberry fields). Without local purpose (no searching for Pan or demigods due to Roamn isolationism and Lupa's Wolf House, or guarding/growing the wild spaces), many fawns have faded and the population diminished. Especially after Pan faded.
Improve situation by unionising the fawns (similar to Council of Cloven Elders), relearnign nature magic and applying it to the agriculture and horticulture of New Rome. Crop fields, orchards, fruit and flower gardens, improve river ecology of the Little Tiber and any nearby lakes/water sources to improve water quality in the aquaducts and the sewage treatment system. Work fawns back into society through that niche until they're established and other option open up for individual choice.
