I wanted to participate in this dtiys, it seemed very fun!!! Happy 1k @somemismatchedsocks, you deserve it! You artstyle is sooo cute and i really like your usage of red-to-blue overlay gradients and noise texture + chromatic aberration in your rendered art !! I like how you rendered Sonic's eyelashes (it's almost reflective) so I wanted to render them similarly!

I'm proud of how it turned out!! ^_^ I'm not very good at drawing hedgehogs yet, I have drawn Nine and Tails a lot more by now, so excuse the wonky anatomy !! 🤲 I tried to not use necks to make the characters more accurate to their origina anatomy, trying not to look so much like furries, but that's also a work in progress oops... sonic looks particularly wonky because I do not know how to place the mouth on his snout or place his head properly on his torso without a neck just yet...!
I hope its okay that i changed sonic's glove! I always like putting my spin on characters' designs ! + I put two versions, one with harsher lighting, because I can't decide which one I like best 😖

My own design for nine !!! i am not quite sure what to do w him yet, i am more of an artist than a story teller uhfjiko but i really like him !!! his yellow sclera and his fur coat are based on cross foxes ^_^ he still has his mechanical tails, i just didnt draw them ... + he has a prosthetic leg !! the purple on the leg (and iris) are related to the paradox prism... thought that maybe its energy could help power his leg or maybe take over him in some way?? not sure, but its an interesting thought !!
i have not yet watched sonic prime, its on my to-do list alongside reading the IDW comics, but i found Nine SOOOO cool and i saw some screenshots and a lot of art of him and i had to draw him !!! i have played all the mainline sonic games and several spin offs in many dif consoles so i swear im not a new fan yruhejiko i just havent read the new comics or watched the new show TuT
