Ponce De Leon Hotel-Saint Augustine, Florida The first in a series of luxury hotels along Floridaβs coast built by millionaire Henry M. Flagler. It is also one of the nations first electrified buildings. Four thousand electric light bulbs supplied by Thomas Edison were installed. Guests were not yet acquainted with this new way of lighting and turned the bulbs off in their rooms. Built in 1885β¦
