The three of you sit in the projector room, fireworks taking up the screens. Rocky lets out chimes of excitement as the fireworks blow up in the dark sky on the screen, amazed by their beauty. However, Ryland notices something even more beautiful than the fake fireworks.

Ryland notices you. Dressed in a white NASA jumpsuit with your name and flag on it, matching his. Your flowing hair resting on your shoulders and your eyes reflecting the fireworks. He notices your smile, how your face wrinkles with joy.

Ryland smiles at the sight of you, pure adoration resting in his blue eyes as he looks at your sitting form. He leans over to whisper to you, even though Rocky can still hear him. “You look gorgeous, sweetheart,” he whispers to you. You giggle at his compliment, covering your mouth.

You compliment him back, stating how his “Savior of the Universe” hat makes him look adorable. His dirty blonde hair ruffled from where it sits atop his head, his blue eyes glistening from the screens around you both.

Ryland’s face turns a soft shade of pink, smiling as you look up at him. You rest your head on his shoulder, taking in his scent of fresh soap and latex. Ryland snakes an arm around your waist, pulling you closer to his embrace.

Rocky watches, entertained by the sight of you two. “Is Grace and mate having mating session, question?” he bluntly asks. Both of your faces slightly flush a dark shade of pink. “N-no pal. Just…enjoying each other’s company,” Ryland clarifies.

You laugh at the exchanged words, burying your face into Ryland’s chest. He puts a hand on the back of your head, fingers tangling in your hair as he holds you. He kisses the top of your head smiling.

Pulling back, you straighten your boyfriend’s paper hat before kissing the tip of his nose. He’s smiling and blushing like a school boy, but he’s not the least bit ashamed.

After telling Rocky you needed a moment, Ryland leads you to the storage room before rummaging through some compartments. He pulls out a plastic bag labeled “VODKA.” He turns to you with the bag in his hand, small smirk on his gorgeous face.

“I’ve been saving this for a special occasion. I drank the other three while you were still in a coma…but I saved this one because I thought it’d come in use one day,” he says sheepishly. You smile as the two of you walk back into the projector room.

Ryland unclasps the plastic clamp on the straw before taking a sip. He hands you the straw, still holding the bag. You take a sip through the straw before pulling away, cringing and coughing. It’s been a while since you’ve had alcohol.

Ryland places a hand on your back, steadying you as you cough. “Too strong, baby?” he asks. Eyes watering, you look up at him and nod.

After your coughing subsided, Ryland reaches for your chin, forcing you to look up at him. He admires you for a moment, smiling at the pretty features that scatter across your face before kissing you deeply.

You hold back a whine as he presses his lips to yours, tongues swirling around each other. His hand rests on your neck, yours wrapped in his blonde hair. You both pull back, slightly panting as you smile at one another.

June 14th is Flag Day! 🇺🇸

It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14, 1777 by resolution of the Second Continental Congress.
