The amount of guys who're delusional enough to be posting hypothetical trade deals with the Panthers focusing specifically on Lundell as part of the package is actually ridiculous.
Not only is Lundy being set up to be the next Captain after Barkov hangs up his skates (*Tears up thinking about it*) but also he's the guy who kept the ship from sinking further down the rankings this last season when everyone was dying.
But sure let's work with this acid trip of a hypothetical - If Bill Zito gets a phone call from one of the other GMs asking for Lundell and he agrees with it: what would be the return? Zito doesn't make stupid trades that don't benefit the team in a long run. It would need to be a insane return for him to even consider it.
Lundy isn't going anywhere. I firmly believe the Panthers will have that man under lock and key until the day he decides he's done with hockey.
Like congratulations to them but they better watch their back in the 26-27 season.
Panthers will be hunting again and this time...they're healthier and hungrier.
Breathe Panther Fans, It's Gonna Be OK
Before people start having meltdowns about the Panthers signing Tyler Muszelik before resigning Bobby or Tarry I'd like to remind you all that starting this year for the 2026-2027 season teams will be required to have 3 Goalies under contract. Therefore eliminating our favorite Emergency Backup Goalies from the league (for now at least).
Since the Panthers aren't making the Playoffs this time around, they have more time to pick who they want as Bobby's 2nd protege in the upcoming season.
So let's all breathe in before we knock ourselves out lol.
