'cause they were no good. so they strung me up on that pole and left me right there!" and Dorothy Gale. in all her 12 Year Old Kansan Girl glory. goes "oh how terrible :((( we have a story just that in Kansas too!" and draws comparison between fiyercrow and jesus fucking christ

nobody recognizes scarecrow fiyero, even though when we hear him speak to elphaba, his voice has not changed. we never hear scarecrow speak to anyone else in wicked: for good. this leads me to the conclusion that he avoided detection by putting on an absolutely god-awful terrible transatlantic accent.
