This internal stagnation is often rooted in childhood histories, where early traumas or social conditioning plant the seeds of these mental fossils. Over time, these ideas become the gravity around which all subsequent experiences orbit, stripping the individual of their mental fluidity.

In everyday conversation, this pathology is easily observed. Most people do not engage in a true exchange of ideas but rather a defense of pre-established positions. The mind’s natural tendency to simplify acts as a labor-saving device, freeing the individual from the exhausting task of maintaining a multifaceted perspective. By reducing a complex universe to a handful of simplified opinions, the person finds a false sense of security.
