The evergreen perennial Fittonia albivenis Argyroneura Group (nerve plant, silver nerve, silver net plant, silver threads) is often sold as a house plant or as ground-cover for a tropical glasshouse. As this species has creeping growth the stems will root into the growing media. The tracery of silvery veins on the foliage is the main feature but the plant can produce small white flowers.

My Chinese Zodiacs lucky plant is the Nerve Plant.

Weirdly, the reason they’re called nerve plants is because they are so pretty they’re supposed to make you nervous. But hopefully in my case as a rabbit, it brings me good luck!

so this is my fittonia, I’m normally very good at taking care of her and I know that normally when they get like this they just need to be watered but the soil is still damp from the last time I watered her.

We have had temps in the high 90s the last two weeks or so and my room is very poorly insulated so I’ve been keeping my shade down most of the day so she hasn’t been getting as much light as she normally does but she’s been fine up until a few days ago

I think I'm getting the hang of this fittonia thing! >:) (Pay no mind to the scraggly pink one on the right of the second photo, it's in recovery from my first attempt at fittonias and frankly looking a lot better than it did two months ago WHEEZE).

About two months' worth of growth! Fittonia are kind of known for being finicky because they hate direct sunlight but will get super leggy if you don't give them enough light, want high humidity and will get crispy and scraggly without it, and are generally prone to being really dramatic and wilt if underwatered, but as always if you overwater there is the ever-present threat of root rot.
