Mugshot Monday - "Ruth Bader Ginsburg Mug" by Fishs Eddy with Morning Glory Signature Blend by Peace Coffee
I have always wanted to drink coffee from this RBG coffee mug since they launched back in 2014.
First off, I love all the mugs that the fabulous New York City store Fishs Eddy makes.
But most importantly, I wanted to pay homage to the legendary Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in a Mugshot Monday.
As luck would have it, this specific cup found me after I dropped some donatables at Goodwill over the weekend!
But honestly, I've been thinking of RBG a lot recently. Five justices of the Supreme Court--including Trump appointed Amy Coney Barrett who replaced RBG--refused to hear arguments for an insane Texas law that went into effect.
The law says private citizens can sue for $10,000 anyone who performs, aids or abets an abortion.
Although this idiotic law doesn't overturn Roe v. Wade, it's a worrisome development.
This new Texas law is bullshit and likely unconstitutional, but really it's just another attempt to control women. A woman who is pregnant should always be empowered to choose whether she needs to get an abortion or not.
Cheers to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her amazing legacy. We know she would have argued intelligently and ferociously against this new Texas law. May her spirit live on.
