To answer your question: Eretlout is my favourite ship and main ship, but others that I enjoy are Fishlout and Tufflout (bc honestly Snotlout has great dynamics with the whole cast imo) and a certain off-the-coast fic by @spacenintendogs has gotten me on the Snotstrid train as well! ((Hope you don’t mind me tagging you!)) Snotman is just very interesting to me and tbh I just wanna see him happy 🥹

Although Fishlegs has already been on Berk for three months the reality of it doesn’t sink in until he’s watching the last tourist boat of the season leave the docks. It is then, holding a crusty old bucket full of kelp debris and a sparkling little fish the fisherman had promised Eret would love to see that it really settles in his gut.

He is stuck on Berk.

When the opportunity to do a year of study on the remote island of Berk comes up Fishlegs, fresh out of a messy break up, jumps at the chance. There he’s met with a handful of animated individuals, he commits to a winter of recording and photographing the algae of the surrounding waters - but all it not as simple as it initially seems.

fishlegs adores ships/sailing/regatta as known bc of dawn of the dragon racers and eret is a sailor (probably has been nearly his whole life) and idk fishlegs being a giant nerd as eret explains how his ship works and stuff is just rlly sweet??

eret finding it very endearing fishlegs is so interested in all his knowledge about the sea and his stories. fishlegs spatting out information about dragons and botany constantly and eret is listening, complimenting fishlegs on how much he knows.
