I just started cycling a new 10gallon to get a betta. :) I need to pick up a used 5gal later, as a hospital tank, which comes with lid and filter for $20!! Which is a steal cause that same kit new is $65.
I grabbed sand and filter for new tank, gonna grab some water test strips on ebay for like $10 cheaper than amazon. my API kit is running low. Im a bit broke this month with Moonlight Peaks coming out and i need a haircut, so next month I can get the plants, almond leaves, food, heater, and light. I already have conditioner, but my root tabs stock is running low and Lurky need a new coconut hut as well. and by the time next month rolls around, my little bacteria hotels i put in my existing tanks will be full and i can cycle the tanks quickly! I'm quite excited!!
There's a very good fish store about 45mins from me too.
Here's Jeff and Lurky, all grown up after these 6 years since I found them. Hopefully the 10gal wont be as much of a pain in the ass to clean as the 40gal.
