Thank you 🙏🏻 . It’s been a rough couple of days and I am still trying to get my head around it all, but the overwhelming feeling of love for my girls and the staff at UHW Maternity makes it all ok. . We had our c section on Monday and after the girls were born my body went into a melt down and I lost 2 litres of blood in a matter of minutes but the theatre staff were absolutely amazing. The anaesthetist talked me through everything and why I went from feeling amazing to feeling tired and sick. She assured myself and Mr B that I would be fine and that our beautiful girls were doing amazingly well. . We spent our first night being closely monitored and I spent it cuddling and kissing Autumn and Willow. I have received two units of blood (thank you from all of us if you have ever donated blood) and I am on the mend, however the loss of blood has put us back in the breast feeding game as my body was fighting hard to stay well and hasn’t yet produced the girls milk, but once again the amazing maternity staff are on hand to give us the best start and have been nothing but supportive. . I have never wanted to put any pressure on myself with being a new mum and I am always ready to go on the any path my body and wellbeing sees the best route for us. I recommend if your on this amazing journey of mother hood you do the same too. Don’t expect your body to do things others do, don’t look at others and wish you could do what they’ve done. I guess I've earned these bags. My baby doesn't sleep through the night. Because I'm nursing on demand she dream feeds. She also gets a burst of energy between 10pm-1am where she wants to play with me and daddy. She only likes to sleep when I'm sleeping. She sleeps light as well.
