okay there is some saving grace in this disastrous writing;
1. Nesta finally saying she loves Feyre and actually behaving decently for once towards people who have been nothing but kind to her (bare minimum but whatever)
2. Rhys x Nesta embrace/thanking each other
3. Cassian speaking to Eris & acknowledging there’s more good to him than he leads on, & he’s just too much of a coward to be honest about it
4. Azriel x Gwyn was interesting; REALLY hope that gets explored more
6. Majority of the characters are very stale, one-dimensional, and boring; i think Eris was the only interesting one ironically
i’ve never disliked a book as much as this one; genuinely it felt like garbage especially with how feminism is handled, almost as if SJM wanted to give people content to joke about how unrealistic and cringe female empowerment is (i promise you, empowerment does NOT look like this, just read Throne of Glass instead.) & i feel like the sexual assault/trauma sections were just thrown in your face out of nowhere and then brushed off without even a proper acknowledgment?? books are supposed to show, not tell & i felt i like i was told the cringiest story written by a middle schooler. i just feel so disappointed man, what an awful taste
also i love feysand but wtf was that death pact????? like be more shamelessly selfish will you?? literally you two are two of the most powerful people in existence but you wanna die without thinking of the friends you have, without think of EVERYONE else, you just wanna die because your mate isn’t there you selfish twats. LIKE HELLO THAT IS SO FUCKING STUPID. like honestly for me, the story ended at ACOWAR, fuck this extended load of crapfest
