Lately I've thinking of some HS scenarios and I realized that my boy Dave would not know what a period is, wether he's AMAB or AFAB. Realistically speaking, the only way Dave would have known about periods (aside from the Internet) is through Bro who I doubt knows jack shit about any of that stuff.
So I started thinking about AFAB Dave getting his first period sometime during the meteor trip and freaking the fuck out. He's like "damn, guess I'm dying". Eventually, Rose finds out and has to explain the whole menstrual process to Dave, which I think would be really funny.
(Edit: this is also when Dave comes out to Rose cuz he was incognito before)
Baby Shark Week - Spencer Reid x Fem! Reader
Spencer tries to figure out how to deal with his daughter's first period, with you out of the house...
3rd Person pov
It was strange to have a day when Spencer was off work and you were off running errands... It meant he had the day with his daughter! He adored you, but that adoration only increased the day you gave birth to Lydia Diana Reid, this beautiful little girl, born with curls and big brown eyes. You always joked that she had the audacity to look more like Spencer, despite having carried her for nine months, but he knew you were kidding, you loved her just as much as he did.
His job took him away from home a lot, he would always feel the intense guilt of missing so many of Lydia's firsts. First steps, first words, first spaghetti (even if that one was immensely messy), he'd missed all of them... But he also felt hugely lucky, lucky that, even with his job, you still loved him. Even with his job, Lyddie still loved him. She loved days spent with her father, whether it was more something Spencer wanted to do, like watching a documentary in another language, or something she wanted, like drawing. Today, they decided to do something they both enjoyed, simply cuddled up in bed, using his and you shared bed as it was the biggest, reading their own books.
Lydia was happily reading her fantasy series she'd started a few days ago, already beginning the second book, clearly taking after her father in reading speed, to Spencer's delight. She was leaning up against Spencer's shoulder as he read one of the heavy, hard backed books from his shelves, every now and then, his hand would brush back her hair that so resembled his unruly locks. They'd probably been sat there for an hour or so, before Spencer remembered that growing children needed to eat.
Lydia was eating and sleeping more and more as she grew, dealing with the growing pains and hunger that came with being a twelve year old, she was excited about a lot of things that came with being a teenager, going shopping with her mom for new clothes, wearing a bra, talking about dating. But this wasn't something she was really expecting, or looking forward to...
Spencer placed a gentle hand on Lyddie's head, "Come on you, gotta get some lunch in you," He said smiling, kissing her on the head. Lydia smiled, before shifting to get off the bed, only to be hit by a peculiar feeling, like a rushing between her legs, it was dreadfully uncomfortable, and she wasn't entirely sure what it was, so she quickly excused herself to the bathroom. Spencer was confused by her sudden disappearance, but shrugged it off and went to prepare lunch, something relatively healthy to avoid your wrath, last time you found out that all the two had eaten were cup noodles, you weren't happy.
After making some sandwiches and pouring some juice, Spencer went to find Lydia, realising she hadn't come out yet, it had been a while... He wandered over to the bathroom, knocking gently, "Sweetness, are you alright?" He asked softly, getting no response, aside from some sniffles. He got more worried, he didn't try opening the door, not wanting to invade the poor girl's privacy, "Lyddie, what's going on?" He asked, more urgently this time. He heard Lydia sigh through cries.
"Dad... I think I got my period... I don't know what to do... I tried looking through the cabinets in here but mom hasn't got anything..." She said in a sad murmur. Spencer's eyes widened, as much as this was exciting and important, he also thought of it as a cruel joke from the universe, when he said he wanted to be a part of more of Lydia's firsts, this was not what he meant!
"Dad?" Lydia spoke again, slightly louder. Spencer realised he had yet to respond to his upset little girl, well no longer his little girl he supposed...
"R-right, um..." He stammered, "I can call your mom?" He asked softly, "And I think I still have some emergency pads for your mom, I can grab those." He offered.
Inside the safety of the bathroom, sat on the toilet, Lydia wiped her tears, smiling at her dad's awkwardness, "Yes please, thanks dad." She said with a shake of her head, of course her dad had an emergency period stash. Spencer was almost shaking, he rushed back to the kitchen and grabbed his phone, finding your contact and immediately calling, hoping to all the deities he didn't believe in that you answered.
You were stood in the dairy aisle of the grocery store, looking through some of the items, when your phone began buzzing in your pocket, pulling it out, you saw Spencer's contact, his goofy I.D picture as he contact photo. Smiling, you answered, "Hey bambi, how's daddy daughter day?" You asked cheerfully.
Spencer shuddered a sigh, "Um, it was going fine..."
Immediately your smile dropped, "What happened? Is Lyddie okay?" You asked frantically.
Spencer realised he should've phrased that sentence better, "Sorry, yeah she's fine- I mean, kind of-"
You began getting frustrated, not knowing what was happening with your daughter, but not wanting to snap at your husband, "Spence, please, just tell me what's going on." You said, trying not to sound too stressed out, it didn't sound confident.
Spencer took a breath, "She got her first period..." Spencer mumbled, it's not like the concept of periods was embarrassing to him, he'd been with you for years, dealing with many, many of your monthly cycles, but this felt different... I mean, this was his baby girl... She was growing up and was going to be dealing with this every month for years, bleeding, cramping, vomiting, worse? It wasn't a pleasant idea for him.
You sighed, "That's all? Is she alright?" You asked, immediately taking the shopping cart and heading to the feminine hygiene section, "I think I have some spare pads somewhere in our room." You continued, knowing that was probably why Spencer was so flustered.
The flustered man in question sighed in relief, "Thank god, thank you," He whispered into the phone. You chuckled, realising just how flustered your husband was, "I don't know why this is so weird to me, I've helped with hundreds of periods, hell I've delivered babies, why is this so different?" Spencer asked, going to your shared bedroom to find your secret stash.
You chuckled, picking out a variety of different products, fully prepared to walk your daughter through each of them and find the best fit, "Because she's yours," You said gently, "It's different this time, don't you remember how worried and overbearing you became when I got my period with you the first time, when we'd started dating?" You asked.
Spencer chuckled wryly, he supposed overbearing was an accurate statement, he was rushing around his apartment, 'period-proofing' as you said, making sure there were vegetables in his fridge (for once) that were high in iron, wondering if you needed him to go to the store for stuff, already planning the conversation with a female store clerk, about which products to buy, which to avoid, help for soothing cramps, the whole nine yards. "Yeah, I panicked..." He argued weakly.
You laughed, "You were insane," You smiled, "But in the best of ways. Lyddie is going to be just fine, I'll be home soon, she can choose to stay in the bathroom and wait for me, or try and sort something and wait somewhere else, make sure she has some tea and a hot water bottle or a heat pad," You said, reminding Spencer of 'The Drill', the same things he'd been doing for you for years, that had somehow completely slipped his mind.
"Right, the drill..." Spencer murmured, taking a breath. "See you soon, I love you," He murmured. You responded with a quiet love you too, before hanging up and picking up some other things.
When you managed to finally get home, making your way through traffic, you immediately went looking for Lydia, you wandered for a bit, before finding not Lyddie, but Spencer. He was sat against the bathroom door, smiling having a conversation with Lydia about scientific inaccuracies in her favourite show, he saw you coming, smiling softer, "She didn't wanna come out, so I offered to wait with her," He smiled, as if what he said wasn't the sweetest gesture.
After getting Lydia sorted, Spencer waiting a fair ways away from the bathroom, not wanting to eavesdrop, the two of you came out of the bathroom, your arm was wrapped around her shoulders and Lydia had a more relaxed look on her face. "You did great," You whispered, pressing a kiss to her temple, "You wanna eat?" You asked, having saw the lunch Spencer had prepped.
Lyddie's face turned pale, almost green at the idea, you chuckled, "Okay no lunch, but at least have on of these, okay?" You asked, handing her a sports drink, full of electrolytes.
Spencer had been so worried, he came over and wrapped his arms around the both of you, "So proud sweetness," He whispered to Lydia, trying not to cry at the idea of his girl being a woman. Lydia laughed, but it was a strained laugh.
"Dad, you're gonna make me cry," She laughed, wrapping her arms around his middle. Spencer chuckled, meeting your gaze over Lydia's head, he smiled, mouthing praises. "Hey dad?" Lydia asked softly, Spencer looking down, humming an answer, "Can we go back to your guys' room, watch something?" She asked, not shy, but definitely more subdued.
Spencer nodded, trying not to be too 'overbearing' as you'd put it, the three of you headed back to the master bedroom, Lydia immediately settling in the middle, just as she had when she was a toddler, so many year ago, grabbing the remote. She shuffled uncomfortably, "God pads are uncomfortable," She grumbled.
You laughed loudly, "Welcome to the wonderful world of womanhood my love," You chuckled, "You'll never get used to it, but your dad will try to help," You said, smiling at Spencer.
Spencer still feels guilty about missing so many firsts, but that was a first he would always keep close to his heart.

Hashiras x platonic tsugoku Female teenager/child reader? The reader is between 12-13 years old, she is very determined and passionate when it comes to training, she loves to train and never complains about training or misses it, at the same time she shows great potential. One day the reader does not get up and misses training, Hashira confused that she does not appear goes to see her and realizes that she is in a fetal position suffering because her first period arrived
PART 1
PART 2
You were young but eager to learn and it would have been a lie to say that you didn't have the potential to become a Hashira yourself one day.
Despite your young age, you trained harder than anyone else, even surpassing men twice your age or size. Your Master was proud of you, you were their star Tsuguko, but you still had stuff to learn.
You were so diligent, so when you one morning failed to show up to a training session with your Master, they were naturally worried.
So they sought you out and found you curled up on your futon in the fetal position. They gasped your name and you looked up and they nearly froze when they realized that you were crying.
"I- I'm bleeding...!" You sniffled as you winched, your tummy hurting like someone twisted a knife there.
"Is it bad? It hurts...! I must be sick! A- Am I going to die?" Questions came out of your mouth as you panicked and your Master was shocked.
Giyu frowned as he noticed the red spot on your futon and he immediately knew what was happening. He took a seat across from you and proceeded to explain to you what periods were and you were shocked into silence. What did he mean you were going to get them each month for the rest of your life!? Giyu nodded and you felt like crying, but those must have been the mood swings. The Water Hashira thinks you need to see Shinobu so she can explain things better.
Kyojuro stared at you for a second before alarms went off in his mind. What was happening and why were you bleeding? He is panicking a little and helps you up and takes you to see Shinobu who explains to you guys that you aren't hurt, just growing. Kyojuro is almost as pale as a ghost when he hears that you will suffer like this each month for the rest of your life. You poor thing, it must be rough but don't worry, he will bring you sweets to make you feel better!
Muichiro tilted his head at the sight of you hugging your knees against your chest as your stomach hurt. It takes him a second or couple of minutes to realize that you are in pain. He tells you to get up and go see one of the Butterfly girls or Shinobu herself so they can patch you up and give you something for your pain so you can keep training. Oh, you clueless young man. When he learns the reason for your cramps and bleeding, he gives you a couple of days to rest.
Obanai knew immediately what the problem was and he sighed as he told you that you weren't dying, but you were growing up instead. You were confused and scared as you asked your Master if he was as hurt and bleeding as you were when he was growing. Obanai immediately hisses that it's a woman's thing, not a man's, and goes to fetch Shinobu since he is too uncomfortable to actually explain what is happening to you.
Mitsuri immediately cries out as she rushes to your side and hugs you, telling you and assuring you that you aren't dying and that she bleeds also! You are confused and she explains to you that girls start bleeding when they grow up and start becoming women. You're already crying and she hasn't even told you about mood swings yet. Will hug you and tell you that it will get easier.
Tengen knows also what's wrong with you since he has 3 wives who go through that same thing each month. He is a master when it comes to helping women feel better during their periods, he has it all for tummy aches, painkillers, hot water bottles, you name it, he got it. He knows it's painful so he tells you to rest and not to work too hard until he sees you well enough to continue training.
Sanemi blinked, stunned and this clueless idiot grabbed you and carried you all the way to Shinobu, screaming how she had to save his start Tsuguko. The Insect Hashira took a look at you and smiled as she assured Sanemi that you weren't dying, but you had instead taken a step towards womanhood. What the Hell did that even mean?
Gyomei can't actually see, but he can smell the blood and he grows worried in a matter of seconds. He asks you where the blood is coming from and stills when you tell him that it's in your panties. Ah... The Stone Hashira tells you that you aren't dying, but you need to see Shinobu... But this worries you enough to make you cry and hearing you crying makes him cry also. So you are both crying together and this worries Genya enough to get Shinobu to see you crybabies.
Shinobu immediately understands what's wrong and gently sits with you and offers you a painkiller for cramps. As you rest, she starts explaining what periods are, what causes them, and what you should expect to happen, such as cramps and mood swings. She instructs you on how to live with periods and tells you to rest for a day or two because the first ones are always the worst.
Honestly, she is the best when handling this and many other Hashiras look up to her enough to seek her help with you. To them, Shinobu is their saving grace.
when do you think El got her first period? because she must have been so scared. like why is my tummy hurting AND WHY AM I BLEEDING. i like to believe that maybe Max helped her, or if it was in California Will, Jonathan and Joyce took care of her like the family they are
Whumptober 2025 : No. 24: âI must confess that I feel like a monster.â Came Back Wrong | Painful Transformation | Amnesia

And I will make a post about lore one day (i'm going to add this at every post and never do it)
JUSTINE (5 MONTHS 2 WEEKS)
Itâs the pain that wakes her up. A pain both diffuse and sharp at once, as strange as that sounds. She wakes up with a feeling of discomfort that quickly turns into pain, deep in her lower belly.
Justine curls up with a hiss as the pain shifts in intensity, her mind still foggy with sleep but quickly dragged into reality by the feeling. Whatâs happening? Sheâs in pain, and she feels nauseous on top of it.
Sheâd felt off these past few days, a dull ache low in her stomach, which sheâd blamed on stress. Though honestly, she hasnât been more stressed than usual. Living with HĂ©lios is a constant state of stress impossible to escape. Sheâs also had some digestion issues, so sheâd told herself maybe her body was just waving a red flag after a few months of this treatment.
But now itâs real pain, and she has no idea why.
Another wave of pain rolls through her before slowly fading. It feels like⊠like contractions. Cramps, and-
Something changes with the next spasm, and suddenly she feels dampness between her legs.
Justine freezes as the realization hits.
No. No, no, no-
Not now.
Not this.
Not in the middle of the night. Not here.
Please, let her be sick. Let it be a stomach bug. Something manageable.
With trembling fingers, Justine peeks down the waistband of her pajama pants.
Thereâs a tiny spot of blood.
Sheâs going to cry. Right now, sheâs going to cry, because this is a situation she never imagined sheâd have to deal with like this, and sheâs absolutely not ready.
A new cramp tears through her, forcing her to curl up on herself tighter with a sharp hiss of pain. The sound breaks into a strangled sob.
Itâs not something that ever scared her. Not when her father is a healer who took great care to explain puberty to her. Not when her aunts, cousins, and even one of her fatherâs exes had kindly talked her through what to expect. She had all the information she needed for this to go smoothly. And now here she is, curled up in the middle of the night, locked in a room inside her captorâs house, and sheâs going to have to rely on him to help her handle this.
Or maybe she can wait until morning. Then she can talk straight to her dad. She has a few handkerchiefs, she can improvise something, right? The flow isn't heavy on the very first day, right?
She feels horribly nauseous, and the painâs only getting worse. She has no idea what time it is, only that everythingâs quiet and not a trace of light slips past the thick curtains.
She stays still for a while, trying to contain the pain, the sickness, the fear, the despair.
She canât. Sheâs going to throw up.
Shaking, Justine reaches toward a glyph carved into the corner of her nightstand. The rune flares with a soft, flickering warmth, wavering for a few seconds before the light steadies and HĂ©liosâs voice fills the room, tired and a little groggy.
âJustine? Whatâs wrong?â
âIâm sick,â she whispers. No way sheâs telling him the real reason, not to him. âPlease, can I see my dad?â
Thereâs a silence, then the rustle of bedsheets.
âIâm coming.â
The glyph fades. Justine waits, heart hammering, fighting the nausea rising in her throat. He hadnât answered her request. Thereâs no guarantee heâll get her father.
Light footsteps approach down the hall. The lock clicks, the door opens, and light from the corridor spills in. Hélios steps inside, pausing briefly in the doorway to stare at her, pale, her arms wrapped tightly around her stomach.
âOh, Justine.â
He doesnât look angry. He walks closer and presses a large hand to her forehead, making her flinch.
âNo fever. I donât know whatâs wrong,â she lies.
âYour stomach hurts?â
âYes, and I feel sick. My dad can examine me. Heâll know what it is.â
She doesnât have to fake looking miserable. Hopefully thatâll convince him. She just wants her dad, only him, so she can explain whatâs happening and let him deal with HĂ©lios. She doesnât want to do it herself. Not now. Not with this. Not-
Hélios rests a hand on her thigh, and Justine flinches violently. His fingers tighten instead of releasing her like a normal person would. He studies her with a thoughtful look.
âYouâre very tense, sweetheart.â
âIt hurts,â she whispers. âPlease, my dad-â
âI heard you the two first times,â HĂ©lios cuts in, not unkindly, but firm enough to silence her. Fear crawls back up her throat like a spider. He sighs at her expression and pats her thigh lightly.
âItâs alright. Do you feel like youâre going to throw up? Do you need to go to the bathroom?â
She canât answer, her throat blocked. Another cramp rises; something shifts deep inside her abdomen as the pain peaks. Tears sting her eyes as she curls tighter, saliva flooding her mouth and she claps a hand over her lips.
âOh, no no no, up, come on, up!â
He grabs her arm, hauls her upright, and drags her toward the door, but itâs too late. Justine bends over and throws up on the floor. She hears him hiss a curse. She raises an arm in front of her face on reflex as sobs burst out of her, overwhelmed, the acid taste burning her throat, her pajamas stained, panic clawing at her chest.
Instead of a blow, thereâs a loud sigh. He lets go of her completely. Through the blur of tears, she sees him standing there, looking simply tired, watching her with weary exasperation. He raises an eyebrow when their eyes meet.
âIâm not going to hurt you, Justine. Youâre sick. It was an accident. Itâs fine.â
She slowly lowers her arms, wiping her face on her sleeve, unable to meet his eyes, quietly crying. Saliva sticks to her chin and she wipes it away quickly. She canât stop crying. The air reeks of vomit, her stomach twists cruelly, and she feels the dampness between her legs.
âMy dad,â she manages to whisper, before another heave shakes her. HĂ©liosâs expression sharpens with urgency.
âBathroom first!â
She throws up again into the toilet, on her knees, one of his hands resting on her back, the other brushing her hair away.
âPlease, my dad,â she chokes when sheâs done, almost sobbing the words. âPlease, please,â she begs, desperate to convince him. Another cramp hits, she winces, and that seems to do the trick.
âAlright,â HĂ©lios says. âAlright, donât move, Iâll get him, sweetheart.â
And finally, he leaves to fetch her father. Justine curls in on herself and rides out the next wave of pain, trembling, hoping for him to hurry up.
At least she still has her dad to help her through this painful transformation, even here, in HĂ©liosâs house.
