Tips for first dates if you haven’t been on a date in a millennia
-don’t automatically assume the person you’re with will pay for dinner. Before the date, ask if they wanted to split the bill, or if only one of you will pay, that way you two aren’t sat awkwardly at your table with no money.
-always bring money to your date even if they said they’re going to pay. Sometimes they don’t realize how much the food is going to be and don’t have enough money for it
-don’t assume you’ll have sex the first night, the last thing you want is an awkward encounter, or being called a pervert.
-if you really don’t like your date and need to get out of there, don’t hesitate to call a friend or family member, or tell the staff there. Someone will help you.
-you probably shouldn’t buy the most expensive thing on the menu, or order a bunch of drinks, because that can make the other person feel like they’re being used
-set a call time for you and another person. For example: tell the person I will call you at midnight, if I don’t call you at midnight, call the police. This is especially important if you do online dating
