It has been said by others, but the idea that the Eridians go to earth for a supply run is just absolutely fantastic to me. They’d likely plan this trip after they figure out that Grace actually doesn’t want to go back to his home planet, but his body, however, is missing the nutrients of his planet. Meburgers and taumeoba slurry can only go so far nutritionally I feel. And you KNOW he would sigh wistfully and recount all of his many cravings for earth food several times. So the Eridians plan a “diplomatic mission” (whose primary purpose is to gather supplies, treats, foods, and information on How to Take Care of Your Adult Human). Naturally, earth is ecstatic to host their first ever visitors from space, and they are interested in the cosmic cultural exchange with fanaticism. But the one thing I would change about the general consensus of this theory is that Grace probably wouldn’t want anyone back home to know he was still alive, since he doesn’t plan on returning even to the point of malnutrition, so the Eridian diplomats have to ask for information and supplies and food for grace without mentioning that he’s still alive. Eridians are not good at lying. At least, not in Earth language. So you can imagine the kind of stress the diplomats are under, trying to conceal a secret (badly) and somewhat making the humans nervous as well because they’re acting suspicious and if they’re asking for all these things and being so suspicious what are their plans for us? Anyway, I think it could be funny, or perhaps it could become dangerous, but those are my thoughts on the great Eridian snack run
