Hmm, my only thought would be to call around to a few companies that sell bird and animal cages, and see if you can order parts. If they sell replacement parts, you’ll probably be able to get ahold of what you’re looking for. Or maybe a hardware/construction place might at least be able to point you in the right direct for non-animal related materials that might work.

I’m also sorry you had a whole year of this. I’m glad you got through it and I know I’ll make it through this. I just have to whine about it like the Mature Adult I am. ^_~ This is the chaotic nature of life: @dreadfulandpeculiar‘s furnace succumbed to inevitable entropy (thankfully her grandfather resurrected it); the Steak ‘n’ Shake management picked this day for their Server and Production meetings and Dani couldn’t get a sitter; my uncle has been fighting ALS for years longer than he should have and is finally recognizing the inevitable; and, hell, weather is a chaotic (nonlinear) system to begin with, especially when there’s a Great Lake involved. Oh, and cats. Cats are nothing but (adorable and furry) chaotic beings. And the loss of my writing was an accident of my own making. It happens.

It all happens. It all happens too much sometimes. Today’s just one of those times. And, to some extent, I’m glad I am in a position to be able to take Schrodi for allergy shots, to help Kate when the weather’s bad, to help Dani look after her kids while she’s at the meeting, to be able to talk Mooms through stuff without having to worry about my boss bitching at me to get off the phone.

But for now, Schrodinger seems to have forgiven me for taking her to vet earlier and I’m going to go back to watching Detective Murdoch and Dr. Ogden save Edwardian Toronto from dastardly criminals.
