For the AMA: How in the fuck does someone plan out what to have for dinner every night?
It helps to do shopping before hand to know what’s in your fridge. Seriously, make a list of what recipes you want during the week, then get those ingredients. That way, if you need to prepare something earlier so it can marinate, you’ll have time to do so.Â
Pasta is your friend in this regard; you can easily serve it over freshly sauteed/blanched, or even just warmed up veggies with poultry or any other meat of your choice. I’d typically used olive oil or a white wine sauce instead of marinara.
But also, use reverse recipes where you can enter in the ingredients you have at home, and it’ll help you see what you can make.Â
Other things I recommend are YSAC (YouSuckAtCooking) and Binging With Babish on youtube because they both have great recipes for beginners.
