Rolling the runway with mama
I'm not normally unduly attracted to flight attendants, because 1) I've seen what they put up with and 2) it's almost always creepy to sexualize someone in their place of work. But I will say that the FinnAir flight attendant uniform seems to be aiming for, shall we say, a demographic.
The uniform itself is pretty average; it's a rather severe black but it's not cut or draped unusually at all.
But what you don't see in this picture are the black leather gloves that they supposedly only wear for takeoff and landing (ours wore theirs throughout the flight) or the calf-length black leather boots all the women had on. The gloves are apparently for hygiene purposes and I also respect that but...I just...
The effect of the totally normal black uniform and the gloves for hygiene purposes and the boots that are undoubtedly just more comfortable than high heels still ends up giving an aesthetic somewhere between "domineering butler" and "cold war era spy film supervillain" and I am here for it.
