Hayden Pike never really talks about his mom's family. Ilya finds out why and decides he simply *must* fix this.
He is going to teach Hayden Pike how to be Russian, whether Hayden likes it or not.
AKA the Russian Hayden fic
I loved this one so much because as a 3rd gen immigrant myself who has barely any knowledge of my heritage beside what I taught myself, this one HIT home like a wrecking ball. (and I'm a huge sucker for Ilya&Hayden becoming friends stories).
The Blueprint by FyrestoneSiren
After Shane comes out, the Metros become convinced he might be attracted to them.
Shane corrects this assumption with devastating precision, accidentally describes Ilya Rozanov in the process, and somehow turns the entire locker room into a deranged pageant of heterosexual insecurity.
I had to take a huge 20 min break away from my phone inbetween the story because I couldn't stop laughing and my lungs were giving out. This story brought me so much unhibited joy because I do have a fondness for STUPID men. big love to this story and the author (who is such a wonderful person!)

or: Svetlana has Ilya, and then she does not.
The Svetlana POV I definitely wanted and needed and got in this story. I have so many thoughts about this story, but can't find one to start with. Just trust me when I say this: it's insightful, lovely, feels real and honest and gives the portray of a complex young woman navigating through her own emotions. loved this so much.
