Catena Alta 2017 Chardonnay: The Catenas' began making #wine in Mendoza in 1902. This wine is sourced from select rows in two of the family’s vineyards in Andean foothills—one planted at approximately 4,500 feet and the other 3,700 feet. The ‘Alta’ in Catena Alta rightly refers to high elevation. The wine pours a rich, straw-yellow color. Vibrant acidity carries flavors of orchard, white stone, and yellow-fleshed fruit lined by a mineral streak with good freshness and a medium-long, textured finish. I enjoyed it with rotisserie chicken and veggies.
