The subtlety of Miros make-up was intentional, I think we chose the right amount of feminine touches without it becoming cliche.

i can’t believe how well the photographs came out, it will be hard to choose our final image out of all the ones we took. Overall i have learnt so much about lighting and constructing a photograph, to finally create a visual narrative

My final shoot went very well and I am very pleased with the output. I chose three coloured backgrounds to match the garments I had brought with me, two of which worked very successfully, however the green background I felt was too dark and looked too much like that of a failed weather forecast... But this only pushed me to experiment more with the other two backgrounds, for example, switching clothes to create contrast between the backgrounds which worked well in some areas but not as well in others. I also aimed to experiment with more extreme angles within this shoot to add variation and contrast between the photographs, due to my lack of exploration within my last shoot and to also work in accordance as well as around the shadows cast by my model. My next step will be to collate some paired images from each colour and create some page layouts to push the photographs further as well as add a more ‘editorial’ element to the final compositions. 

Due to the unfocused few images in the previous shoot I decided to re-shoot just those two, when I printed the previous two that came out successfully, I realised they printed quite dark, I believe this was a printing error on my part but it was almost a blessing in disguise as I much preferred the deep red and green that came out, because of this I decided to light these two images in the same way the others were printed just to be sure they’d match. Having to re-shoot this was actually incredibly helpful as it really made me pay more attention to the focus which I think is actually something I struggle quite a lot with, but looking incredibly closely to these the focus is perfect and the Phase One made some incredibly crystal clear images that I was incredibly happy with.
