If we're taking Filip at face value, he thinks the influx of gay people exists because it's a trend. He assumes Lovro is with Ivan because he's trying to be trendy and modern. He split Lovro into two separate people: his friend and an unfortunate soul who has succumbed to the gay agenda.
Now, when Lovro approaches him seeking advice because the love of his life is bipolar, Filip will have to reconcile those seemingly disparate versions. Lovro is actually his long time friend who just fell in love. His love for Ivan is as pure as Filip's love for his bipolar mother. Ivan hasn't corrupted Lovro. He is simply a person, a human being with thoughts and feelings. (This is actually a novel thought because hatred is based on the dehumanisation of groups of people)
It makes sense why sram would choose this route. This show is for Croatia. Its population is majority catholic and covertly homophobic. This show is for them too. The whole season has been building up the empathy towards Lovro. His characterisation is also based upon this. A person who acts first is harder for normies to understand. The show makes a point to follow lovro in his thought process and his conversations with the people in his life.
This season is not only a love letter to queer people, but it also lovingly invites the average croat to partake in queer culture. See? This isn't so scary. We're all just trying to live and thrive. And I think that's beautiful.
Filip's little prank is so dumb and says so much more about him than it does lovro. Homophobes always do this where they're clearly thinking about gay sex more often than gay people are. Like he really took the time to think about how he could represent gay sex and went and purchased a cucumber and you know he thought about which size would make the most sense for the "joke" and then proceeded to put a condom on it and never stopped to think, maybe this is a little gay too

Filip and Pawel are so cute. The scene after dinner—Filip wanted rough, casual sex, but the way Pawel took charge and led them to a calm kiss made me sigh. It seems Filip will fall hard for Pawel. Will he be the first person to make him develop real feelings about wanting to start a family?
